This hotel was my favorite during my time in Taiwan. Very cute, comfortable, AMAZING staff who really go the extra mile to help out and ensure you have all what you need. Washer and dryer were very convenient. And they offer snacks to hotel guests. 10 min walk from the train/bus station. Quiet and convenient. Would definitely stay there again. The only thing is that there aren’t good restaurants around (imo). I don’t recommend going to the all-you-can-eat bbq restaurant nearby, I had the worst meat ever there (unrelated to the hotel but this info could still be useful). But there are Family Marts / 7-Elevens around and you can get decent instant noodles. The hotel provides hot and cold water. They also have bikes you can borrow and they can help with car rental (you need an internal driver licence in Taiwan). You can take bus 310 nearby to Taroko park (takes over 90 minutes though). Buses and trains work well, are cheap, and reliable.

The staff was extremely kind and welcoming, and the location and amenities were great. The room was clean and comfortable, though the carpets were a bit stained and some of the interior felt slightly dated. Other than that, we had no issues during our stay. Overall, it was a very comfortable experience.

Really enjoyed my stay at Meci hotel. The location is ideal, a short 7-8 minute walk from the train station. The staff were welcoming, the reception area is really cute with shop selling local indigenous made products, free tea, coffee, snacks and ice cream. They also have bikes for rent. Close to shops and restaurants.

Here’s a refined version of your review: I recently stayed at this hotel, and while the location is very convenient, the overall experience was disappointing due to its messiness. The hotel is situated in a historic area near the railroad station, making it easy for travelers like me to commute. From here, I could easily visit My Market, the traditional market, and the Pacific Ocean Park. One of the highlights of this location is the free bike rental, which allowed me to explore the nearby trails, including the scenic Cheung trails. This added a lot of value to my trip and made getting around effortless. this hotel is an excellent choice due to its prime location and accessibility.

Honestly for the price (paid about 30euro for one night, double beds) it’s one of the best I’ve been at. Room is nothing special but it’s clean and fresh. Bed was good for sleeping in. And they had a bunch of complimentary snacks in the lobby. The location was also convenient, close to the train station and different stores. I would stay again.
