Fantastic holiday. Accommodation was as described and more than I expected. I would definitely be back. The area is beautiful and a short work to the center. My view over booked the pool which was beautiful.

On arrival, our room floor was not very clean and had hair on it. However, the bed and room were otherwise tidy, and the daily cleaning and fresh towels were good. As we are deaf, we were disappointed with the lack of help and communication from staff. No one offered us a map, local information or advice about day trips, so we had to organise everything ourselves. A little more support and accessibility for deaf guests would have made a big difference. The pool was nice but could have been cleaner, as there appeared to be oil/sun cream in the water. Breakfast had a good variety, although the layout was inconvenient, with bread and cakes at one end and plates, butter and jam at the other. Our biggest concern was the storm and power cut. We were on the 7th floor and had to use the stairs in the dark. The emergency lights did not appear to work, which made us feel very unsafe. This needs urgent attention, as proper emergency lighting and backup power are essential. Overall, there were some good points, but the hotel needs to improve cleanliness, communication with deaf guests and, most importantly, emergency safety.

Good hotel, still a little way to go to being great

The room was ok, clean & nice view. I arrived the first day the hotel opened so they still have a bit to do but the staff are welcoming & helpful with anything i asked for. The rooms are quite basic no tea/coffee or water provided. There is still work going on in the hotel in preparation for the season ahead it was a bit noisy in the corridor with men working. The hotel is far from polished but they are working in the right direction, I think they will need more staff once the season gets busier.

Overall, we had a nice stay. The hotel was clean and the rooms were comfortable, with newly renovated bathrooms, although they were quite small. The pool area was nice and the floats provided were such a lovely touch! The only downside was that the pool itself was absolutely freezing, which made it difficult to enjoy. There were a few areas around the hotel that felt a little tired and could definitely do with some extra love and care. The lifts in particular felt very dated and old compared with the renovated parts of the hotel. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and we had no major issues, but I wouldn’t say there was anything particularly special or memorable about the hotel.

The food was very pricey for the hotel. The bed was very comfy. The staff were kind when I saw them but there didn’t seem to be many people working. The pool was great, but had big clumps of hair in the bottom. Overall a wonderful experience.
