I was cycling camping through Norway but hit a patch of terrible weather and found the nearest hotel and that turned out to be the marvelous Grand. Idk but something about this place is so compelling and downright charming. There are so many marvelous details and the breakfast was the best I’ve ever had at a hotel in Scandinavia. I give them ten billion stars

Tiden er løbet fra hotellet

Beliggenheden rigtig god. Hotellet har sikkert været Grand for mange år siden, men fremstår nu gammelt og slidt. Meget få stikkontakter på værelset og køleskabet ikke tændt og var derfor et varmeskab. Det blev påtalt i receptionen uden der skete noget. Morgenmaden var middelmådig. Så alt i alt ikke 13-1400 kr værd for en overnatning.

The location of this hotel is great! Few food options open, but it was during the off season so it was expected. The hotel's food was still great though! I can imagine this hotel during the peak season is very busy - if we ever go back to visit we will make sure to stay here!

Nice hotel, the rooms could use some upgrades, but I’m guessing if had I gotten a suite, it would have been a little nicer. Pillows were really small. Staff were nice, and I will most likely stay here again in the future.

Fantastisk beliggenhed med udsigt over Oslofjorden. Blev opgraderet til et luksus værelse med balkon, pga fejl i systemet. Vi var meget tilfredse

Hotellet i sig är trevligt men badrummet är i AKUT behov av renovering. Dagens resenärer använder mobiler, datorer m.m och då vore det trevligt om man slapp krypa omkring eller sitta på golvet för att ladda och använda sina mobiler/datorer. Varför inte installera kontakter vid varje sida på sängen? Tyvärr drar det här ner betyget.

Hotellet som engångs var GRAND men inte längre.

Vi bodde i två dbl rum på 4:e våningen och hade en underbar utsikt mot fjorden. Det var det som var GRAND. Fönstren flagnade färg, badrummen var bedrövliga liksom inredningen i rummen. Allt är väldigt daterat och slitet. Känns som att hotellet försöker ’sminka loket’ genom att ha ex pampiga emblem på prydnadskuddar på en annars trött och obekväm säng med ’klumpiga’ kuddar. Maten var undermålig bla kändes det som att de kokade hamburgaren, risotto smakade gröt och långkoket kött var segt. Frukosten var väl ok men stekta ägg var kalla, bacon var mer som kalla beef Jerkey, amerikanska pannkakor iskalla och ’färska frukten’ var någon dag gammal och hade börjat få en torr yta. Äggröran var däremot färsk och rätt god. Servicen är trött överlag. Vill inte bo här igen och är rätt sur att betala ca 4400 NOK för två rum. 😞
