What a gorgeous space. Beautiful hotel, rooms and the food was amazing.
Great space ‘half way’ for group of friends to catch up and have giggles all night ;-)
The room is small but comfortable and welcoming. It has a nice bed and bathroom
However, It is an old building and you can hear the noise from other rooms so not very relaxing or private to hang out in. The self check in means you see no staff but the pub staff are friendly and helpful if you need anything. Located a 10 min walk from Knepp wilding project so convenient for us.
Very convenient for visiting Knepp, which you can access by crossing the village green and through the hedge-lined path.
Friendly staff, the rooms are quiet, even though they face the road. Dinner was pleasant and the wines OK. The hotel is closed 3-6 which means we couldn’t have a beer after our walk and it could be a problem for check in
It took ages to check despite the bar being open. My nice but quite small but the general housekeeping could be improved. The basin in the tiny bathroom offered little or no hot water and the shower head was only adequate.
The menu choice was disappointing but the food was nice. The Breakfast basket was poor.
My overall opinion of the Crown was that it was expensive for what you got. It's not a place that I would return to.
Our stay was lovely, beautiful residence, although as I have a bad back the mattress was too soft for me so didn’t sleep great but everything else was amazing the rest of my family loved it.
What a beautiful room! We stayed in the Butterfly room and although it is a small room, it has everything you need (including great tea/coffee making and a breakfast hamper that you can order for the morning). Quirky decorations, but great quality and beautiful design. A nice dinner in the pub too. Highly recommended!
My only observations would that there was a lot of furniture in the room which seemed unnecessary and made it rather cramped. Also, there were no sachets of instant coffee which would have been my preference.

Liked: Cleanliness
A countryside B&B. Reason to be there was to visit a bike distributor close by. No other option for dinner or drink. Breakfast delivered to room door at about 7 but served cold dishes only.

Disappointed!
Disappointed!
I honestly thought I had cancelled and after speaking to them all they could offer me was 25% my next visit so it cost me £183 for nothing, my mistake of course but I feel they could of at least changed the day for me like most hotels would do, not try and get more money from me.

Disliked: Amenities
De kamer was ijskoud toen ik aankwam en na de verwarming aangezet te hebben werd het niet veel warmer.
Veel geluid van het restaurant beneden waardoor ik niet kon slapen. Douche komt bijna geen water uit.
Wekoms brief was leuk. Kamer was veel te vol met bijna geen plaats voor je koffer
