While I understand that intermittent issues can happen at any property, the sequence of events during my stay was unacceptable.Upon arrival, it was pouring rain. The code worked at the first entrance, but the second entry code failed. I was left stranded in the pouring, blowing rain. Because there were no live attendants on-site in the late afternoon, I used the property's text service. It took 30 minutes to get a response. Out of growing frustration from being soaked and cold, I also contacted Expedia, who reached out to the owners on my behalf. In total, it took an hour and a half to finally gain access to my reserved space.When staff finally arrived, they claimed the lock worked but the electronics had malfunctioned. As someone who owns the exact same lock, I know a wireless reset could have been done much sooner, suggesting a mechanical oversight.Furthermore, upon entering the restroom, we found an unemptied trash can containing used feminine hygiene products. This immediately made us question the cleanliness and sanitation of the entire living space.While the weather was out of the owner's control, the lack of responsiveness, the delayed access, and the poor cleanliness were completely preventable.. If these issues had been addressed, the property would have been a five star venue....other than these issues(which were significant) we enjoyed our stay.
