Our stay was a journey down memory lane for me. The hotel was still lovely and popular, the room was clean and albeit small as a twin, it was in keeping with such a historic building and the lady on the bar, who checked us in couldn’t be more welcoming. The kitchen even catered amazingly for a veggie and a vegan option breakfast. The hotel is centrally located for the beautiful village of Eyam’s history trail, tea rooms and local walks with good parking facilities.

Two night mini break, fantastic place, really friendly staff, the room we were in was perfect for us, with our rather large dog. Great Breakfast and plenty of choice for evening meals, just what you need after a day walking in the lovely countryside, the Bakewell pudding was exceptional.

My room was very comfortable & clean - the staff were very helpful & friendly. The bed was great & it was quiet overnight. The breakfast was freshly cooked to order & I would definitely stay there again!

Fabulous stay

Loved this pub! Full of history, the rooms were cosy and warm but with plenty of space. Food was amazing and all the staff were very friendly and super accommodating. Definitely booking this again next time we come to the Peak District.

A gem of a place with great staff

What a great place this is to stay. It's a lovely, very friendly pub with great rooms and very friendly and very helpful staff. The food is amazing, you have to try the steak and ale pie - it's to die for - honestly.
