Beautiful and Charming Place to Stay
Absolutely amazing place to stay deep in the wilderness of Alaska. Charming, quiet and exceptionally clean.
The restaurant on site, The Dirty Skillet, was amazing as well.
Next time we plan to stay longer!

My husband and I stayed at the Bear Creek Lodge to celebrate his 60th birthday as part of a dream trip to Alaska. It was our first night’s stay after landing earlier in Anchorage. Thank you for all the loving care into every single detail. The cabin was cozy and clean, and we loved the view from our little porch looking at the bubbling creek. The wash house was also immaculately clean and very easy to use. We loved the café in the morning, hearing the laughter of other visitors, enjoying a delicious cup of coffee and some baked goods while feeling the warmth of the fire and watching a family play board games. Our only regret is we could not have stayed longer. Thank you for the loving care put in every beautiful detail of your place. We highly recommend it to anyone.
We arrived late, so the office was closed, but it was still easy to find our cabin and navigate the property. We opened our window and fell asleep to the sounds from the creek behind our cabin. In the morning, we watched the ducks in the pond while we drank our coffee on the deck. The bathrooms and washrooms were spacious and clean. I wish we could have stayed longer.
We stayed in the Cottonwood Valley cabin, which is the last cabin on the path around the pond. The path around the pond is not a full loop, so you have to walk all the way around. The path is not long, and we left most of our things in our car, but this could be a helpful detail for others renting this cabin.
I was impressed sleeping there around woods, in the cabin. My husband and I spent the evening at dirty skillet for dinner and met some young people and just enjoyed our time. Then went to cabin and rested in the nesting. We enjoyed burning wood the next morning over coffee and snacks. Breath taking. Just was bit hard to find the place. But we did. Loved the place. Thank you Naomi Maxon
What a lovely stay and small village to see in Alaska. Enjoyed our stay very much.

Cute cabins and very nice bathing rooms at the main lodge (these are 'dry' cabins). Quiet and food options nearby.

Cute cabin vibe
This place was really cute. It has a lot to offer with the lake the snore area. We really enjoyed it. Just note that the showers and bathrooms are not in the cabin.
Staff was very friendly, cabin was very cozy and clean, however, the bathrooms and showers can use some work. But overall it was a great place to stay.

Great cottages with nice scenery. The shared baths were large and clean. The dirty skillet has excellent outdoor seating with gas fire tables. We were fortunate to have live music.

All the cabines are adorables ( with no water) the only one with shower unfortunately is directly on the parking lot in front of the public shower and bathroom so no privacy . All the other cabines are more private further away in the property .

If you enjoy sharing toilets and showers with people from 6 other cabins this could be your place ! Our cabin ( the only one with running water ) was old with old furniture in it. We had a problem with the sink drain and used the kitchen sink for brushing teeth, washing up etc. Bed was so-so..

The page that I looked at on Travelocity did NOT mention, On the main page, that the cabins didn’t include toilets. As a senior who requires multiple trips to the bathroom each night, this would have been important information to have before deciding to stay there. I thought I was looking at a page for a hotel or resort — not a camping experience.

Disappointed after after all my stays with you.
Well it smells musty, an only warm water is shower on cold. Not hot or warm water to wash dishes, really wondered if sheets were washed based on purfume on sheets but, only on certain part.
