Carol in night housekeeping was a gem. Everyone from check in to pool staff were very nice. The pool was a little underwhelming but that didn't matter when you have the beautiful ocean in front of you. The garden and grounds were stunning. The location is perfect. We loved our stay.

The valet staff, front desk, concierge, housekeepers, restaurant staff, and beach activity coordinators, including the surf coach, all contributed to our wonderful experience. The Royal Hawaiian is in an excellent location….beautiful beach, sheltered pool area, close to shops. The food in the three main restaurants was very good! Room was very clean with excellent quality amenities. We had an oceanfront room which we would strongly recommend…excellent balcony.

We feel right at home at the Royal Hawaiian. We will not stay anywhere else. The hospitality and kindness of the staff are beyond perfect. Many of the staff have worked there for many many years and we enjoy seeing them every time we go. They obviously must treat the employees as well as they do the patrons!

Beautiful hotel with gorgeous views. The staff was efficient and attentive. We were able to check in early and they upgraded our room to a balcony. Room was spacious, bed was decent. Pillows could have been better but they weren’t terrible. It’s definitely an older historic property but very well maintained and clean.
