This is a large property with great dining and shopping options. Our room was very spacious with a full kitchen and was comfortable for our family of four. One thing I noted was that in the bedroom there was no ac vent so if we slept with the door closed it got warm. The property is family oriented which means lots of kids ! Our kids are older so maybe it wasn’t the best for us. There was an on sight laundry which was free to use and worked really well! During our stay there Wes a lot of construction so laying out at the pool included hearing constant jack hammering. I highly recommend this place for families with young kids (12 and under)

My family and I always love coming to the Hilton Village in Waikiki because there is just so much for my family to do. So far we have stayed in 3 of the 6 towers and plan to stay in all 6 towers to experience it all and decide which towers will be our favorite:)

The Hilton Grand Vacations Club was great for my family. I had a conference at the convention center, so this was a great place for my family to hang out at while I was at the conference. The room was perfect, with the large main bedroom, and the pull out couch. The kitchen area had everything we needed, and it was nice to have 2 large porches to enjoy. The walk to the beach was short, and the beaches really nice for swimming. Great workout room and adult swimming pool in the Kalia Tower.

This place was great! The view was spectacular the rooms were large. The living room was large. I love that it had two bathrooms. I would really recommend for anyone to go stay at this place. The swimming pools with the waterslides was so fun for the kids.

Family Vacation

Great stay. Walking distance to all the shopping and eating you could want. The lagoon is perfect for swimming and paddle boarding without the waves of the ocean. Free laundry which is the best thing!!!

The 2 bedroom apartment we had was enormous and perfect for our family of 4. It was very clean and every day we had it serviced with new towels etc. the property itself is great for kids - so much to do! Highly recommend!

The property was nice and the staff were great. My rating was good instead of excellent because of the three days of employees on strike during our stay. Guests should never have to cross a picket line to reach their accommodation. The Hilton corporation should negotiate in better faith to ensure that strike action is never necessary and such that employees are compensated with a fair living wage and benefits.

We, family of four, enjoyed staying here. Property is on the beach, surrounded by huge shopping area, well maintained gardens. Staff is very helpful and courteous. Kitchen and separate bedroom are the best features. You can't get on to the elevators without room access card which is good for safety. Paid parking just below property and is very convenient to park and bring stuff from car. Lots convenience stores, restaurants nearby.

This property is great if you were looking for a version of Disneyland in Hawaii. Unfortunately, we were not. I wanted something more relaxing and this is definitely not that. However, it’s really close to all of the downtown shopping and also has shopping on the property. The only thing though, too is that booking through a third-party, we were treated exactly that way. We were not treated very well by Hilton.

The room itself was excellent! Very clean kitchen, living area and bathroom. The Toto toilet was a bonus!! Service at check in was excellent. Text feature made it ultra convenient to comminucate. Cons: the pools. Overcrowded, full of sunscreen milky water, hog cheese people that leave their stuff all over the chaise chairs make it impossible to get a seat. Better management of releasing unused chairs (like at other resorts) would be great! A taxi almost ran me over by Kalia tower as he was speeding through :( I was on the sidewalk, geez

Hilton Village is the staple of what vacation should look like. However, ocean view that we thought we were getting was on 4th floor, obstructed view with palm trees. Had we known in advance, we would have booked higher floor in another building within Hawaiian village. They changed us to another room less obstructive view of ocean. It was good they did something about it. But Expedia saying what we were getting is the ocean view is confusing esp when we paid $4,500 for only five nights (2bd & 2 bath.) otherwise the rooms were good.

Our main requirement was to have a one bedroom and a kitchen, The Hilton Hawaiian village met these requirements. Safety and easy beach access was another positive as well. Certain towers definitely need an update, their age is showing. The biggest negative is that if you're stsying at their "Grand Vacations" rooms, then their "timeshare" sales people will hound you into a presentation. Unfortunately, I took the time to view their pitch and it wasn't pleasant at all. They don't want you to ask any questions and if you dont buy their "timeshare" they will get very nasty. Nothing like the Hawaiian culture at all. Everything else was great, just dont waste your vacation in their pitch.

The place was very clean and beautiful only problem was the daily resort fee daily and you have to pay for the parking $69.00 daily.Either pay that or walk 8 minutes to a more affordable parking place. Because i had a disabled person with me i had to pay the parking fees. Make sure when you book if your booking with a disabled person you book a room with the bars apparently even though i asked for it when i booked i didn’t get the accessibility room and my mother had a really hard time showering since they didn’t even have bars in the tub to help pull her into the tub. Other than that everything was great

HOTEL WORKERS ON STRIKE - DO NOT STAY

You cannot stay here. The hotel workers are on strike. No housekeeping, front desk service only 12pm-5pm, no pool bar, restaurants bare boned. Employees still working are unfamiliar with property (brought in to keep it running). On top of these more minor details, the strikers mean BUSINESS. They have drums, they have megaphones, they have air horns. They chant and picket loudly from 6am-10pm at ALL public parts of the property. This means all entrances, this means the lagoon, this means the public beach that is next to the pools. You can hear them at surrounding hotels, which means right now the decibel level is untenable. Our family made it 1 night before we realized how quiet the rest of Waikiki was. Feel free to remove this review after the strike ends - as the property looked cool and this review is so topical. But I hope hotels.com lets this stay up while the strike is ongoing because the strike is important -- but it also seriously degrades this hotel experience -- and I want people to know.

The Hilton Hawaiian Village has an ongoing (over a month) strike that the hotel neglected to make us aware of prior to arrival. They handed us a letter at check-in. The property is large, hotel is severely understaffed, and check-in is not smooth (they double charged us and lost our luggage because they checked us in at the wrong desk); apparently there’s a hotel side and a timeshare side. It is also nearly impossible to get any sheets or assistance with non-functional washer/dryers even after calling guest services hourly. Staff has been flown in and brought from other Hilton locations and are unfamiliar with this hotel and cannot help guests identify buildings or activities and many restaurants and amenities are unavailable. Yet somehow on day 2 we got a phone call trying to rope us into the timeshare talks. The one permanent hotel staff we encountered on Day 3 was clearly frustrated or overworked and was the least helpful or empathetic person we encountered. Highly disappointed with our stay and would NOT recommend anyone to stay there, at least until they resolve the strike.
