Flying out for a remote job so I needed to stay down here as I live north of here and remote. Room was clean, shower pressure was good, was quiet, exactly what I needed for a one night stay. Barbie at the front desk was wonderful. Will stay again.

It rests between the Homer Spit and the city of Homer. The room was clean and it was modern. It could use some sound proofing between rooms. I know way to much of my neighbors business.

Beluga Lake Lodge is located near Beluga Lake which was the initial appeal. However, the room was very small with large unnecessary furniture making it very crowded and hard to get around. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was clean but a slight musty smell was detected when first entering the room. Personal sized toiletries and plenty of towels were available. Windows on 2 sides didn’t have sufficient light darkening coverage. TV, refrigerator & microwave are included in the room but microwave was unplugged and was difficult to find a receptacle to plug it into. Electrical appliances and lamps were plugged into plug strips and not directly into electrical outlets. They advertise coffee and tea in the lobby but over our two day stay we were never able to get any brewed coffee because the drip coffee pot was burning empty on the burner and never refilled. We had to get coffee dunking bags from the beverage station and heat water in the room microwave for coffee. In the early morning someone opened the emergency exit door outside our room setting off the alarm and waking us up. Common area carpet is old and dirty with uneven/ ramped floors and the hallways reek of weed. It’s a pet friendly place that is not appealing because the dogs just go to the bathroom anywhere outside and not in a designated area. There was a beat up pickup with a flat tire parked in the lot that looked like it’s been there a while. It was unfortunately a disappointing experience.

Staff was great!! Love what they did with the towels. To me it's historical and in a great location to get to the spit. Pet friendly. The room could use a little renovation. But for the location and price, it was okay. What could help improve the place is to have a Continental breakfast for the guests since only one place delivers that have incredible high prices. Overall our stay was okay. Thank you Beluga and thank you to our five star housekeeper.

Minutes from the Spit, the room was clean but a bit small and stuffy from the evening sun. A small fan was provided. Friendly service and super comfortable bed.

The hotel was quiet since the season had not started but we were pleased with the location and the room standards. I had not really expected much from the hotel room except clean and a hot shower. It delivered much more. Free coffee in the lobby. Lots of travel brochures for the trip. Easy to find. Lovely location. The room had fridge and microwave and satellite TV. We were able to get a good nights sleep and on the way the next morning.

Our stay was pleasant, we were in town for only one night to attend a wedding. We arrived early and fortunately the staff was able to get us squared away with a room. My only complaint is that their bar closed at 9pm, which doesn't proved much time for night life but that seems the speed of all of Homer.

First impressions of people make lasting impressions. When I went to check in I wasn’t greeted with a smile, hello…nothing. The male clerk at the counter wasn’t that pleasant either. His attitude made me feel I was an inconvenience. There was a woman in there who was nice and at checkout the other woman was nice as well. Due to this man’s demeanor I will never stay there again and will not recommend this place. The building is older, but it is a pet-friendly building so this is a plus. The room was clean and obvious care and thought was put into this. From what little I could see, the facility was clean and tidy. I am a non-smoker and the entire day/night/middle of the night there was cigarette/marijuana smell overwhelming our room even though people were outside. The room was very cheap compared to other hotels, but the name Beluga Lodge is very misleading. It nothing like a lodge, more of a motel, not a hotel. If you have pets, overnighting and on a tight budget this is the place for you, but again, due to the male clerks attitude I will not stay again.
