“An old property with loads of history and stunning views. We had a lovely room straight into the garden for our dog. Breakfast was great but we didn’t have dinner in the hotel. Great position for amazing walks. Most of the staff were really helpful but a couple let the side down!”

“Stayed at one of their beautiful and uniquely design luxury bedroom, absolutely loved it. The bar downstairs is great and very cosy, they aeved great choices for breakfast and the staff were helpful and nice. Would stay again.”

“Lovely Inn , clean , well maintained and friendly and helpful staff . Really pleasant stay in a great location”

“The hotel is very well run and the hosts are very helpful. The rooms are a decent size. Although it took a while for the water to warm up in the shower. I acknowledge that this is beyond the owner’s control, but my second floor room overlooked a junction and the traffic was noisy . At about 4am a lorry collected the empty glass bottles. The noise of the crash as the glass shattered was shocking. Avoid a roadside room on a Wednesday morning….if you want undisturbed sleep.”

“We chose to stay here because it was rated exceptional & it is in all respects. Highly recommended.”

“FANTASTIC HOTEL. The location, the service, the bar and restaurant were all truly 5 star. Woke up this morning after truly good sleep in massive room overlooking the priory and ruins. The reception staff was simply wonderful, just little things like letting us have a coffee and a croissant when we came in to drop suitcases off before check in time. Little drink tokens on the house, to be enjoyed in a truly gorgeous bar & restaurant. We loved everything and will be back 😊”

“Had a wonderful stay at Anchorage, it’s such a fantastic location. The place was spotless and had everything we needed. Great communication from the hosts and everything went very smoothly in terms of checking in/checking out. Would definitely recommend this place and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.”

“Absolutely wonderful views from the harbour view rooms. These rooms are extremely spacious. They are comfortable but could probably use a little bit of an update. All staff extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was better than expected.”
