“Lovely pub/restaurant with rooms in a picturesque small village. We had a great dinner and the service throughout our stay was fantastic (thank you Matthew). I wasn’t aware this was part of a chain at the time of booking but I shall be looking out for Butcombe Pubs in future.”

“Our stay was for 3 nights in a comfy double room. This type of room was up 3 flight of stays (No Lift) so not suitable if stairs an issue with cases. Room was clean and bathroom was modern with a powerful shower. Found bed not that comfy, but would stay again and try a different room. Full Breakfast was lovely and can be altered to suit. Evening menu could have more choice and not very generous for the price. Menu would be better if changes can be made and not so much fish on menu. All staff...

“FANTASTIC HOTEL. The location, the service, the bar and restaurant were all truly 5 star. Woke up this morning after truly good sleep in massive room overlooking the priory and ruins. The reception staff was simply wonderful, just little things like letting us have a coffee and a croissant when we came in to drop suitcases off before check in time. Little drink tokens on the house, to be enjoyed in a truly gorgeous bar & restaurant. We loved everything and will be back 😊”

“Clean, nicely maintained with decent facilities. Food is limited but acceptable, somewhat overpriced but for the location, understandable. Nice Starbucks. I was surprised to have to pay for car parking as there was a lathe car park, nowhere near full. Breakfast was limited choice but good quality, quite acceptable. Nice Sauna and steam, pool is also good but wasn't accessible one night out of two. Note that the pool and its facilities close at 8pm during weekends, not 10pm as during the week.”
