We didn't know where to pick up the keys at 1600hrs the bar was late opening, we was also waiting at the wrong Nook bar. Lack of information on where to wait. The bed was very comfortable, the sound of the river over the rocks, sent us to sleep. The bar was good, good selection of ales. Also we didn't have the breakfast, we thought it was expensive at £14 each. Location very hand for everything.

The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and in a fab location very central to Holmfirth. We were a little worried that it would be a little too noisy with it being above a pub, which would have been our own fault for booking a room over a pub! However, we didn't get in ourselves until around 11.30pm and the noise soon stopped after that. The breakfast was lovely, served in a nice, relaxed room above the bar. Holmfirth itself was really nice with nice shops, cafes, daytime bars, cobbled streets and pretty bunting, with the backdrop of gorgeous countryside. By night it had an unexpected lively vibe with lots of music, bustling bars and friendly locals.

Nice place above a nice bar. Had some food and it was fine and a few drinks. Nice atmosphere and well situated in the town. Room was fine, settee was a bit big for the room but you can see what they are trying to do. Young woman who showed us round was nice and so too the young woman at breakfast.

Lovely spacious room and nice breakfast. Accomodation right in the centre of Holmfirth. Take ear plugs though - you are staying over a pub on the main street, so it is going to be noisy, but I had my ear plugs with me and didn't hear much at all.

The room was compact, clean, had a small TV & coffee making facilities, there is a lounge area & kitchen on the same floor that we were on, although we didn’t use it I can see that would be useful, but beware if your not too mobile, there are a lot of steep stairs, also pub below is open till 12 and we did encounter a lot of noise on Sunday night, so if you’re to bed early, be warned. Bed was comfy and has a nice big shower in bathroom.

nice comfortable rooms in centre of holmfirth. Across from Picturedrome, round corner from Sids cafe. The Nook pub and Taphouse below and also pub next door. Plenty of bars and restaurants too.
