Bad smell

It wasn’t what I expected for the price we paid. The rooftop deck is nice but tiny, and next to the HVAC unit so all you hear is the loud constant hum when you’re up there. Not very relaxing or enjoyable. Hard to have a conversation. The location is great for events in the area. Easy to get to. Parking garage was a bonus. We didn’t receive our complimentary wine which was promised in the reservation. The amenities were lacking, small things like there was no hand soap in the bathrooms just shower gel, No non dairy options for coffee. No sugar or tea options for the in room coffee bar. No little extra stuff you expect from this price point. It felt pretentious.

We stayed here for 2 days prior to our Alaskan cruise. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Very walkable to a lot of attractions e.g. Pike Place Market, Space needle, Cruise Port etc. Seattle is very expensive and there are unhoused people everywhere. Rental scooters and bikes litter the streets all over downtown. Not a fault of the hotel but an observation. Would stay here again if I was in downtown Seattle

I was checking in at 3:50 for a 4 pm arrival. No room available for 50:00 minutes. The staff was very disengaged and very poor at communicating. I had to show ID 2 times and verify three times. Communication was extremely poor. Coffee was out in the morning.

It’s a lovely property however the quality of bed linens and mattress were not worthy of a 5 star hotel. The sheets felt like a stiff synthetic material and there were lumps on the mattress. Dinner at Shuckers was expensive but delicious with great service. Subtracted a star for the bed linens and mattress, needs improvement.
