This was a wonderful place to stay outside Hofn. The staff was friendly, the cottages are comfortable and charming, and the breakfasts were delicious. It was probably my favorite place to stay in Iceland. We watched northern lights from our deck.

The hosts here were extremely friendly and easy to talk to. They knocked on our door because the northern lights were in full display right above our house. Definitely a memory I’ll never forget, so thank you! The room was clean, check in was easy, and breakfast was good.

Enjoyable stay!

Unique isolated private cabins which were clean and roomy. Wonderful light breakfast served on property which was very convenient. Great access to East Fjords and Hofn areas.

Hrafnavellir Guest House was one of the highlights of my trip! Great location - isolated enough for a quiet retreat yet accessible to what Iceland’s South Coast has to offer. The breakfast was specially prepared with traditional Icelandic items. I stayed for the traditional dinner too and encourage you to do the same! The owners are charming and very helpful. 10 stars!

The guest house was modern, clean and comfortable. Semi private decks are nice for viewing a sunrise. I spent some time taking in the morning view and listening to the ocean in the distance along with nearby sheep. I only wish I had a nice hot coffee and pastry to go with it. There is no in room coffee maker and you have to schedule a time if you want to take part in the included breakfast. We passed on setting a time because we weren't sure what time we would be ready after arriving late.

Perfect stay!

This place was absolutely perfect! The hose was very friendly and helpful in providing us with some local places to visit. The breakfast was great each morning. If you have any dietary restrictions just leave a comment in your reservations notes and they will provide what they can to accommodate. The rooms were awesome! Perfect place to see the Auroras on a nice clear night.

The property is otherworldly and located in a beautiful, natural setting that is just stunning. The owners are wonderful and breakfasts are great. We will definitely go back. While it is in an isolated area, it is only a 20 minute drive to Hofn where there are many excellent restaurants.
