We spent 2 nights at this hotel. The rooms have been renovated and are really comfortable and well appointed. Coffee pod machine is an added bonus. Staff are welcoming and helpful. Freshly renovated rooms and FANTASTIC location! It's a beautiful short walk down historic Kelly Street to Salamanca Square and Constitution Dock for the arts, dining, bars hub and Salamanca Markets every Saturday morning. A chocolate croissant, scallop pie or lamb and potato pie from the bakery on the corner across the road is a must! Dinner at Ball & Chain (Salamanca) and also Hampton (across the road) was amazing. Apparently, the pub downstairs is also great for a meal although we didn't try it. The room was small but had everything we needed. This hotel is about location rather than spending a lot of time in your room anyway. A little bit of foot traffic conversation noise can be heard at night but nothing that kept us awake.

Directed at the condition of the room. Very poor condition and unclean. It looked like the room wasn't vacuumed or dusted for quite a while. The small fan provided was laden with dust that spewed out when it was used. The facilities were archaic. The bathroom had soap and body wash that had been open and used previously. On the positive side, the check in was well done and location was perfect for me.

Quiet and clean in a great location

Gorgeous area of Hobart, especially with the autumn leaves atm. Pub had live music that finished by 8, good meals and friendly staff. The rooms are renovated and very comfy! The coffee machines in the room a nice bonus!
