Very convenient location, few steps away from Hiroshima station. Friendly and helpful staff, nice variety of free amenities offered. The breakfast was a set menu choice from a next door cafe (not buffet-style), but was fine for us. Storing our luggage for the day after we checked out went smoothly, was very convenient for us.

The hotel was really helpful in looking after our luggage when we arrived early and then bringing it to us when we checked in. Check in was easy, but being a machine check in there was little information about breakfast. The breakfast location is open to the public and offers only 5 basic options for breakfast. They did have English menu to help, but it was difficult to see what each option was and they were a bit basic. The room was spacious and the hotel is so close to the station it was no trouble to transport our luggage. Access to the trams at the station means that getting around was easy, but if you like walking there is plenty to see within walking distance.

Unfortunately I was very sick the entire stay so i never left the room! Its been a peaceful time to heal but i apologize to anyone near our room who had to endure my coughing fits. The staff is very attentive. We like the JR hotels very much. Beds are nice. I was able to secure non- feather pillows and a blanket vs duvet since I am allergic. We are on a long journey and have stayed at 2 JR hotels thus far. My favorite featire is the ability to see when washing machines are available or not on the tv.a

Hotel is well-located near Hiroshima Station and amenities are generally satisfactory - however, the staff’s service attitude can be improved. Interactions are cold and felt like mere procedural formalities, with barely any smile or efforts to make (foreign) guests feel welcome. This is my second stay at a Via Inn and regrettably I've felt this way previously too. There are better hotels to stay at.
