We stayed to see the rabbits on the island.
Would have been nice if a few more options at dinner and breakfast. I struggled to find things to eat at dinner and my husband breakfast. We didn’t use the onsen so also would be nice if maybe other activities in were available. We had a nice stay none the less

We traveled around Japan with two kids: 4 and 8 years old. I cannot express this enough...for the kids, Okunoshima was by far the best part of the trip.

It’s amazing that this hotel is on an island full of rabbits.
It’s too bad that there aren’t any separate showers.

The hotel was very nice, the food was great, the rabbits are fantastic. Remember to bring a few heads of cabbage and maybe some carrots and apples!

Staying at this property allowed you to have access to the rabbits at times that were not as busy with tourists. After the last ferry to the island leaves, the rabbits come out in larger numbers and you can have a better experience then a regular day trip would allow. I would definitely stay again at this property for this reason alone.
