The hotel is located in Hiroshima train station on the south side. Reception is on the 7th floor outside of the building and there is a exquisite view of the area. The staff are English friendly and very polite and nice and accommodate rooms are clean and cozy

We originally booked this stay because the hotel is attached to the JR station, but we were pleasantly surprised with how much we loved it! The room was bigger than we anticipated and decorated beautifully, and we had an amazing view of the city. We didn't realize how new the South Gate building was so that probably contributed to how clean and well organized everything was.

In the middle of lovely Hiroshima, All you need to have in terms of various dining, shopping, cafes, transportation etc, just steps away from your room door… Comfy room despite it’s size which is OK if you utilize each given space. Lovely staff in the reception vast area :-) Thank you very much for the superb hospitality!!

New, clean and well staffed hotel at Hiroshima station Impressive, but pricey restaurant, but no on-site laundry. Quick and easy check in. Lobby employee gave directions to Jab Jab Wash 3 blocks outside station. 7-11 right outside station entrance to hotel. Room was clean and had a small sitting area and functional bathroom. Beside bus and trolley station adds convenience.

Convenient location on top of the Hiroshima station. Great proximity to Shinkansen trains and airport bus stop. The area around South Gate has significant construction at the moment so it can be quite crowded and hectic, but once inside the hotel, it is calm and the staff are available and friendly. Room we booked was quite small with an odd layout with the bed against the wall, felt smaller than the 20m2 advertised.

Beautiful new hotel in a fabulous location above the new South Gate Station Kyoto. Spacious room for a fair price. The rooms facing the downtown area was a delightful view at night. Excellent location for transportation, shopping and food. The restaurant had the sweetest staff. We adored Yuri and how attentive she was to ensure every need was met while dining. There is complementary coffee in the restaurant in the morning which was a wonderful touch in the morning. Definitely recommend this hotel.

It’s super convenient for shopping and dining. Even more impressive is that the hotel is right above JR Hiroshima Station and the Shinkansen platforms — perfect for easy and smooth travel. Plus, the airport limousine bus stop is right downstairs, which makes getting to Hiroshima Airport incredibly convenient. The hotel itself is clean, tidy, and comfortable, with a relaxing atmosphere. The staff were also very friendly and professional, which made the whole experience even better. All in all, if you're visiting Hiroshima, Hotel Granvia Hiroshima South Exit is a top choice — great location, super convenient transportation, and comfortable accommodation. I’d definitely stay here again!

Transit Hotel

We didn't fully understand until we got here that this is a transit hotel — a very new (but very expensive) one. Rooms are small, even for Japan, and the breakfast experience felt more like a school cafeteria. If you can get a deal it might be convenient for a night; for anything more than that, the older Granvia near the north gate would be a better bet.

Hotel Granvia in Hiroshima is by far the best hotel we've stayed in Japan. It's right there at the train station and the shopping mall. Lot's of dining too in the mall, you don't need to go far to dine. Hotel Granvia is a new hotel and I guess we're one of the lucky ones who get's to stay first in this very new hotel. The staffs are very friendly and you can checkin or check out by yourself through their self checkin machine. Highly recommended.
