The welcome from Albi/Alby was appreciated and very friendly. We arrived late and tired after a long journey and he was extremely warm, friendly and helpful. Our room was fairly basic but very clean, had an excellent view and was cleaned every day. We had no iron or ironing board and very few clothes hangers but these were provided on request, no problem at all. The pool area was very peaceful and sun loungers were very comfortable, so we spent some time there and found it very relaxing. The private beach area for the hotel was just over the road and perfect for a relaxing time at the beach. Parking in the underground car park was ideal and easy to navigate. The hotel was ideally placed, close to restaurants and cafes, with more options further on in Himare itself, which was only a 10-15 minute walk away. If we return to the Albanian riviera in future, I wouldn't hesitate to stay at the Blue Wave Hotel again

We had a great stay here overall with a beautiful room and it’s a great location. Unfortunately we used the laundry service and had two shirts ruined (stained by detergent we think) the woman working was very understanding and apologetic and offered to fix it, later we were told by another staff member they weren’t able to fix it, and they offered to pay us for the shirts. We assumed this meant they weren’t gonna charge us for the laundry, as they gave us €20 for the shirt and the cost. Their laundry was €20 so there would’ve been no point in paying us. They would’ve just said laundry was free after we left. We got a bunch of messages from another staff member saying that we didn’t pay for laundry when we checked out and we still should’ve had to pay etc. Not sure if there was communication errors or what but it was very odd that I got 10+ messages in a row where they seemed upset about us not paying for laundry after they ruined shirts and payed us for them?

Solid hotel, not for princes and princesses

This is not a bad hotel. But it's a little half-baked still. It's an odd reworking of an existing apartment building. No coffee in the room. The shower is a little awkward and will run out of hot water if you're in there for a while, but most won't be taking a shower for that long anyway. They do restock fresh soap daily from Lush which we enjoyed. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Don't stay here if you need everything to be perfect. Stay here if you're gonna be spending all your time at the beach and doing other activities all day and just coming back to rinse off and get horizontal.

We recently stayed at this establishment and, unfortunately, we are left with a very mixed impression. From the moment we arrived, we felt a heavy, unwelcoming atmosphere. A group of four staff members regularly sat around a table near the entrance, and made no effort to hide their behavior — every time we passed by, the two seated with their backs to us would turn around simultaneously, accompanied by whispering and persistent staring. This kind of conduct is both inappropriate and unsettling in a place meant to offer relaxation and hospitality. Throughout our stay, we received no greetings or signs of courtesy from the staff — except, ironically, on the morning of our departure, when one of them finally spoke to me, not to say hello, but to curtly remind me that it was our last day, just as I was heading to the pool at 10:00 AM (despite check-out being at 11:30 AM). In terms of organization, we were surprised to be given only one room key for two people, which made it difficult to manage our activities independently. After requesting a second key, it was handed to us without any explanation or comment. It was only on the third day — when we mentioned at the front desk that our room still hadn’t been cleaned in the morning — that we received a message blaming us for “monopolizing both keys.” This was the first time we were told that the hotel only had two keys per room: one for the guests and one for housekeeping. In conclusion unwelcoming staff, poor service, unpleasant

The hotel is perfect for anyone looking for a peaceful stay with beautiful beach views and spacious surroundings. They also have a very good restaurant, which made the experience even better. Free parking and breakfast were included as well. While the breakfast options were limited, the food was delicious. Overall, it was a great experience!

This hotel exceeded expectations in every way. The property is beautiful, clean and modern. The pool is a highlight and has great loungers. The room was very nice with a comfortable bed and good quality Lush soaps. The location is ideal with the beach just across the street and good restaurants nearby. What really stood out was the staff at this hotel. They were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. I dont usually write reviews but this hotel deserves to be recognized!

Wir haben spontan für eine Nacht gebucht und wir mussten bei Ankunft nur ca. 1 Stunde auf das Zimmer warten. Wir durften uns sogar in einem Zimmer kurz umziehen gehen, dass Personal ist wirklich sehr nett und hilfreich. Es hat einen Pool und genügend Liegestühle um sich zu Sonnen. Die Rezeption ist draussen, was sehr schön ist. Für die Gäste hat es eine Garage wo man die Autos parkieren kann. Der Strand ist auf der anderen Strassenseite und es gibt Liegestühle nur für die Hotelgäste. Der Strand ist traumhaft schön. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, nur das Bett hat bei jeder Bewegung Geräusche gemacht.

Wir haben uns im Blue Wave sehr wohl und willkommen gefühlt. Die Lage ist perfekt gewesen, nur zwei Minuten von Strand entfernt und trotzdem privat in zweiter Reihe gelegen, sodass man auch entspannt seine Schwimmsachen zum trocknen raushängen konnte. Am Strand bietet das Hotel eigene bequeme Liegen und Schirme an. Das Hotel ist modern eingerichtet und sehr sauber gewesen. Die einzige kleine Einschränkung war, dass das Gebäude etwas hellhörig ist worauf man sich bei leichtem Schlaf einstellen muss. Für uns war das Hotel ein perfekter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge zu Fuß in der Umgebung, mit dem Auto (Tiefgaragenplatz) für weitere Strecken oder mit dem Kajak, dass man sich an jedem größeren Strand ausleihen konnte. Wir würden jederzeit wieder ins Blue Wave kommen!
