My husband and I enjoy a nice long week on Hilton head Island at the Sonesta resort delivered top quality. From the common areas, the lounging pool for adults and the cleanliness of our room each day when we came in from a long day on the town and playing golf was superb. The shop in the lobby was well stocked and they attended to whatever needs we had. We will be coming back soon.

The location is good. It’s family friendly. The room could have been better. There was a smell in the bathroom, the water pressure made it hard to wash off in the shower, and there was a mold smell coming from the ac vent. We stayed at the pool one day due to too much wind on the beach and we had a difficult time getting food at the pool in the afternoon. We booked this property at the last minute after another trip had to be abandoned due to flight cancellations. We weren't sure what to expect at the Sonesta as it was our first time. It surpassed all expectations. The property is conveniently located with easy beach and Shipyard community access. It offered a number of other amenities and never felt overly busy or mobbed, even in the pool and bar areas. The property is freshly renovated and the rooms are clean and spacious. Finally, the service was excellent. The staff took pride in ensuring our stay was a great experience. I would book again without hesitation.

Price point for a “resort” was high for the property unless you are a pet lover. Room was ok but sofa smelled a bit like dog. Expedia price was high for a parking lot view. Beach service was great but I believe that was provided by a third party. So called remodel is a dated remodel for sure.
