This weekend was my second visit to the Montage Palmetto. The first time was in February, where all I wanted to do was get a change of scenery from Charleston and do some cycling. That weekend was quiet and calm, and the cycling was superb. This time - the Labor Day weekend - the weather was much warmer, the sunshine was bright, and all the pools were open. The water was refreshing, the bar nearby provided the necessary Negronis, and I was able to play 18 holes at the nearby May River course, complete with a caddie and a full walk. We visited Buffalo's a few times for breakfast and dinner (the staff will golf cart you to and from the hotel) and once at Octagon, which is in the hotel itself. Everything was perfect. I will come back, especially since it's just a 2 hour drive away, and with golfing that rivals - if not beats - Kiawah. Thank you. Christophe

The hotel and grounds are immaculate and the staff are wonderful. We loved walking around exploring the surrounding area and the evening s’mores by the fire were a total hit. Would stay here again in a second.

The Montage is truly the most breathtaking destination in the Lowcountry. A fall stay here is especially magical—the setting feels whimsical, almost like being transported into a dream. From the stunning atmosphere to the exceptional food and drink, every detail is top-notch. Highly recommend.

Fantastic place and amazing grounds and very friendly staff. The only thing they are missing in some sort of casual restaurant or sports bar on the grounds, as the speakeasy was closed every night we were there. Overall, this place was great.
