One of my favorite places to stay at when I'm in Hilo area. Location is convenient and so is parking. The free paddle board rentals is great with the super clear river right in front of the hotel. They also offer free bike rentals as well but all first come first serve.

Great place. Beautiful setting, convenient location and helpful staff. Really appreciate the ecological and community-minded ethos. The room was spacious, well-appointed and comfortable. The property was very Nice and friendly, for my Surprise the offer a local fruits tastes on Friday morning, and it was Fantastic. The room was clean and smells great, the staff is wonderful all the time. The only thing I didn’t like was, the ar conditioning works well, but the noise is so high and I have trouble to keep sleeping all night long. But they can fix it, in my opinion have to change the machine. I should back soon and I will stay there again.

This is a great hotel in a wonderful location! The staff was friendly and extremely helpful in answering questions. They had nice amenities including the pool, free use of bikes, and free use of stand-up paddleboards. The hotel is adjacent to the Hilo airport, so you do get noise from an occasional jet during the day and into the evening, but if you're visiting Hawaii, why on earth would you spend the day in your hotel room! There are several restaurants within easy walking distance to the hotel. Personally, I really liked Ken's House of Pancakes. (Yes, they serve dinner as well.) Both the food and the staff were great.
