The lodge is well located in the Hillcrest area, close to the Main Road with it's shops and restaurants. Bev the hostess was very welcoming and seemed prepared to go out of her way to assist her guests. The breakfast in the morning was varied and good. The room, while on the small side, was adequately furnished with a comfortable bed. There were a number of small items which detracted from my stay. Single ply toilet rolls in the bathroom, a small and well worn towel and shower in which the water temperature fluctuated quite often being the main issues. Overall the welcome and friendly nature of the hostess made it easy to overlook the negatives.
