This was a really cute little property. The grounds were right up to the national forest, with a little coffee shop on property. The cabins are cute and well maintained, but walls are thin, so if you get roust neighbors, you can hear everything going on. And the highway is really close so it can get pretty noisy during the day (but you’re not there anyways, cause you’re out doing stuff). Close to Rush mountain adventure park, Mount Rushmore, Custer state park and more. Would stay here again.

Amazing! Can’t wait to come back and make more memories! Clean cabin, plenty of blankets, well insulated (heat and air conditioning both worked great!) can’t recommend this place enough! Beautiful view just minutes down the road from Downtown hill city.

Cabins are sufficient. Safety updates need to be made. The stairs to the cabins are uneven and have no hand railings. The price seems a bit high for the condition of the cabins. Guests have to carry out their trash.

MY ADVICE IS LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR LODGING! The cabins are currently under construction, unkept, dirty and not private.The property owners/managers are a no show to whom you have to communicate via text message. Wi-fi is non existent, most cabins are duplexes (not exactly the peaceful getaway that one would expect for the price point) the spa, hot tub and sauna are defunct (which are advertised directly on their site) Nothing about this location justifies the 3x per night cost compared to surrounding hotels/cabins. This screams that instead of closing to renovate they are still renting out subpar bookings at the expense of paying customers. 2/10 do not recommend.

We loved staying at this cabin. It’s a great location to pretty much anything in the Black Hills. We stayed in the Birch cabin, which is a two bedroom cabin. It was very clean. A few notes and recommendations if you stay here: 1. Although it’s two bedrooms, the walls don’t go all the way up to the ceiling, so there is really no privacy as a result of the two bedrooms. One bedroom has a queen bed and one has a set of twin bunkbeds. 2. Four bowls, salad plates, dinner plates, and coffee cups are available. There’s also a crockpot and griddle. But there is no stove or oven. There is a propane grill and a couple of barbecue utensils. There are other utensils, such as spatulas and big serving spoons, but there are no mixing bowls or larger containers for serving. There are also no regular drinking glasses. I recommend bringing drinking cups! 3. This was a duplex cabin, so we shared with another family. We could hear every word they were saying so again, privacy was a bit of an issue.
