Great stay lovely owner and staff really comfy bed nice room and clean . Nice and quiet at night . Great having the pub to enjoy a nice friendly drink and the home made food is lovely and good value for money . Would definitely stay again it’s a lovely little place with nice views from window .
Traditional village inn run by the community. Food and drink prices very reasonable. Room was clean and comfortable. Noise from bar below stops around 10 pm so wasn't an issue.
Stayed for a one night stop over to break up a long journey. Excellent bar very good food and very good value. Room very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Would certainly book again.
Great little community owned pub with great food. Room was clean & comfortable & friendly staff & locals.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
We stayed at the property 2 years ago and found it really
nice. This time, I think we had a different room . Still nice
but unfortunately we could not get the electric shower to function and when I intended to report this there appeared to be nobody around . Still a nice venue in a pleasant
setting. I presume your refund to me was because you
took payment from my wife’s card.
Thank you Peter Carroll
The quintessential British country Inn and pub. We enjoyed our one night stay, and had a delicious meal and socialized with the locals. We enjoyed cocktails in the beautiful outdoor beer garden prior to our dinner. The room we stayed was impeccably clean, and had a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside. Wish we could have stayed longer.
We enjoyed our short stay and particularly the excellent standards of service and cuisine. Ultra friendly - a credit for a community run establisment

Landlord was very friendly and spent time talking to us. Very good management. Rooms were very clean with nice beds. Breakfast was plentiful. Dinner was very good and reasonably priced. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Extremely friendly and helpful staff. We arrived too late to eat at the pub. A take away was recommended but they couldn't deliver. Bar tender and her sister offered to collect for us. Ever so grateful. Comfy bed. Quiet. Cosy
I loved staying here. If you’re looking for the authentic British village experience this is it. Rooms are above the local village pub, the locals and staff are all friendly (as I left the bar everyone said good night to me) and the dinner was delicious pub fare. My only critique is that the continental breakfast leaves much to be desired and there’s no place to get a coffee before 830 (a shop up the street) and for an early riser like me that was a bummer. BUT , I loved staying here (prob couldn’t do more than a couple nights on account how sleepy the village is )
Absolutely fabulous ! Lovely room, clean and comfortable. Staff could not have been more friendly and accommodating.
It’s a community pub with 2 B&B rooms.
The food is excellent. We were going to eat else where in the evenings but couldn’t find anywhere we liked better so made a bee line for the restaurant every evening.
Stayed two nights. First night was excellent. Very comfortable room. Friendly staff, good evening meal, excellent breakfast. Second night was terrible. Woken by three loud voices, one a woman member of staff and two male guests. Rewoken at midnight by member of staff turning reseting the electrics in the next door utility room. Kept awake by the sound of clattering dishes as our fellow guest helped themselves to a post midnight snack in breakfast eating area. Noisy Central heating came on at 1am. Shocked to find the fire door leading to the breakfast area wedged open during the night. More power cuts during the morning which may have been due to our fellow guests attempting to use a faulty toaster which was missing when took our breakfast. I refer you to the open fire door!
