Great location, great apartment hotel. Nicely done interior, modern without being tacky. Parking is a quite difficult, but there’s an overnight parking at the port for €6/day.

The check-in process was super easy. We were warmly welcomed by the man at Reception upon entering the door. Appreciated their help to offer assistance with our transport to the airport. Keyless entry was kind’a nice to have. The room we had was bright, clean and had a nice urban theme/furniture. Loved that the location was steps away from the Plaza and great restaurants closeby. Also conveniently located as it’s close to the port, fort and museums. Would highly recommend the Lion.

Manos and his staff were absolutely wonderful. We stayed in the comfort loft suite. We are a family of four and it was stunning super spacious everything very clean friendly staff. The location was incredible in the city center walking distance to absolutely everything. Highly recommend.

We wish we had more time to stay at this lovely hotel! Smack downtown and minutes away from museum, harbor, great food and sightseeing. Our ground floor apartment had a garden and it was spacious, clean and with a very comfortable bed and nice bathroom. The only caution I have is to not attempt to reach the place by your own car… very tight roads and nowhere to really park to unload so get a cab instead and ditch the car at the airport before you arrive.

Beautiful modern apartments

Really beautiful, modern apartments and the staff were really great. Plus it had a really helpful app. The closest parking lot isn’t far, but you do have to wind through some cobbled streets, so just be prepared if you have luggage. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely be back!

The kind and helpful people at the CityLion apartments office made our stay in Heraklion a dream come true! Super friendly and SO competent!! A BIG thank you to Effie and Chryssa for always responding to any questions with a big smile and a can-do attitude! These guys are so genuine and incredibly nice and they went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and happy! The property is very central to amazing dining and shopping, but at the same time in a wonderfully quiet and safe neighborhood. Everything was super clean and new! The daily housekeeping was a bonus! Book City Lion for your stay in Heraklion and you won’t ever regret it!

My family stayed here in a two bedroom two bath for two nights and couldn’t have been happier. The place was updated, immaculate, spacious, and in an ideal location - in very close proximity to tons of shopping and restaurants. Well stocked with bottled water and coffee. Parking in the area is challenging. We paid 12 euros to park in a nearby lot for 24 hours our first night, second night we got lucky and found street parking. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed for a few days (parents and an adult daughter from California) and we loved the apartment (2 bedroom, 2 bathrooms loft apartment), which was spacious, clean and had plenty of amenities. It was close to shopping, dining and the Venetian fortress. The front staff was so friendly, professional and well informed. Excellent customer service from all of them. They assisted with everything we needed. The housekeeper was also very nice and would always offer us extra water bottles and coffee pods when she was on our floor. All communication before we arrived was also great and checking in was a very smooth process. We would definitely stay at City Lion if we were to visit the city of Iraklios (Heraklion) in the future. What a great experience we had!
