Modern amenities. Very nice room. Safe in room. Hot water and ac. Has a balcony. Walking distance to shop. The area is bustling, yet the room is very quiet. Restaurant on-site that serves very good, yet inexpensive food. Staff is excellent and dress professionally.

We frequently stay at this hotel. It is excellent. All the staff are professional and friendly. The rooms have recently been renovated and have walk in showers which are excellent.

The hotel staff are lovely and very helpful, the location was great, the room was clean but small with no window, as it was interior facing, which felt stuffy and dark. I recommend asking specifically for an outward facing room if you stay here. And I highly recommend that the hotel clarifies what an internal room means on booing sites. I would rate it as 4 stars, definitely not 5 stars, as everything that would rate it higher costed extra- Breakfast was not included, parking was not included- so just he aware when booking. Overall it was fine for two nights.

Fabulous Stay

A wonderful stay. Hotel was centrally located with great access to everything. Rooftop pool and bar was a particular highlight. Cannot recommend enough for a stay in Heraklion. Staff were so friendly and helpful too.

Capsis Astoria is very conveniently located. It’s on the bus route to and from the airport so getting there is 1.20€. It’s also next door to the Heraklion archeological museum and on the bus route to Knossos. There are multiple restaurants nearby ranging from casual cafes to fine dining. We highly recommend Pemptos Ntore restaurant just across the way on the fifth floor. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating, letting us check in when we arrived at 11 am. The breakfast is substantial. We enjoyed sitting at the pool and having a drink. They have a small version of a Greek windmill on the roof. Very Instagram friendly. We recommend it highly.

The rooftop area with swimming pool, sunbeds and bar was closed. That was our reason for choosing this hotel, so rather disappointing.
