Vacations Close To Henry J. Kaiser Shipyard Memorial

So this Motel is under new ownership and I guess the new owner is trying to renovate the place so there seems to be a lot of work going on there. With that being said, I definitely didn’t enjoy the early morning hammering going on. Another point I’d like to raise awareness to is the whole $3 per day that is due at the property after you’ve already prepaid for the room. So we booked the room for 5 nights, paid in advance and we then received our receipt that clearly stated that we still would need to pay the additional $15 to the property at check in which was payable in cash or card. But upon arrival we were then informed that the didn’t take cash at all and the amount owed still was actually $50 and not the $15 that our receipt said. It’s still okay value even with the additional mark up but it’s definitely not the best value in the area. Shop around and you’ll find a hidden Jem located about a mile away from this place.

This hotel is over 100 years old. It was clean, although the rooms were small; the bed was small, and the bathroom was small. I would not recommend it for the price they are charging.

Great location. Staff nice, rooms clean, also very small. No place to put your clothes, four hangers on a hook next to the TV. No drawer space, closet, extra pillow etc

This location is fabulous! The staff is amazing! We stayed in one of the cabins, which was beautiful. There were a couple things that weren’t great. The shower was the lowest pressure ever. I could not was my hair in that low of pressure…had to take a bath instead. Along with the bathroom, there is some general updating that needs to be done, but all in all….a great experience!
