“Had a very enjoyable stay here, Used as base to visit NT properties in the area. Very nice and well appointed room and superb breakfasts and lovely helpful staff.”

“The staff are very helpful and friendly. The food and beer is good and great value. Parking is a bit tight, so arrive early if you are checking in! If you want to eat, make sure you reserve a table. We found out the hard way on Saturday lunchtime that you can't always get a meal, even if you are a resident. Other than that, it's a good place to stay. It's quiet at night due to the location and the fact that the bar isn't open until late.”

“Stayed in one of their attached cottages comfortable. Staff were attentive and polite food was very good. Continental breakfast was acceptable. If staying more than one night there is no room service so dishes had to be washed in the hand basin and dried with a bathroom towel.”

“This lovely old pub in the heart of in the Sussex countryside is cosy and welcoming. It's a hotel/inn, pub, and Jamaican-focused restaurant all rolled into one. The welcome was as warm as the Caribbean from hosts Barrie (Jamaican) and Drexie (German), the husband and wife combo running this place. There's a nice garden in the back for summer nights and BBQs.
