Simply Splendid!

Check in was smooth although there was a short wait due to a queue. Reservation staff friendly. Breakfast was very good, which to us were a range of healthy foods on offer. Room was of reasonable size with double bed, a small working table with chair in front of the TV, and free coffee making facilities. Unfortunately, there was no near power point socket at the working table which would make things easier when working though not an issue. Location of the hotel was definitely good for us, which was adjacent and within a less than five minutes walk after exiting the Helsinki Central Station. Centrally located with easy access to buses, foods (restaurants too), shopping malls and within walking distance to the Helsinki Market Square and some other attractions. Overall, Scandic Helsinki Hotel is a very good, nice, and value for money place to stay. We would certainly return to stay on our next visits and would highly recommend to others too.

Excellent location right next to Helsinki's main RR station. Make sure to exit on the Elias Square side, because there is another Scandic hotel (called Scandic Grand Hotel, dating from the same period as the station building) on the other side. Great breakfast buffet as well.

Very convenient, right next to the central station, with a supermarket in front of the hotel. The view overlooking at oodi was nice, too. I wish they had longer time for the sauna, so I could use it (was a short stay) They had a fridge filled with drinks and snacks (not for free), but didn't have an electric kettle, which I wanted.
