Great location close to the Tikkurila train station and also close to the airport, just a few steps away from the Vantaa city museum and Heureka Science museum. Breakfast buffet is excellent, with lots of different offerings.

Good location and comfortable.

Location was an easy train trip from the airport after a long travel. Check-in was easy and friendly. Room was nice and comfortable, location was walkable and safe and the bar downstairs was clearly a destination on a weekend night.

Very convenient, right by Tikurilla station. The decor was a bit dated but clean throughout, lovely breakfast, helpful staff, good sauna! Unfortunately you need to pay for car parking separately.

80's time warp

Truly old and tired interiors and ghastly meat grill restaurant. Rooms are spartan and feel run down. Honestly don't know how this hotel has maintained a '4 star' rating.

Very convenient

It was very convenient as I was there for business and the event I was attending was at the Vernissa Culture Centre just 150m away. The breakfast buffet was nice and with a variety of food (fruit, cereal, bread, eggs, sweet pasties, coffee, tea....) wifi worked well, room was big enough and bathroom too. The food from the Mexican restaurant Amarillo was nice and I also went to the pub and even had a karaoke night. It was a pleasant stay. The staff were friendly and helpful providing directions and train times.

Excellent Choice for Short Stay

This hotel has a great location at right next to Tikkurila railway station where you can catch a local train to Helsinki airport (about 10 mins journey) and to central Helsinki (about 15 - 20 mins journey). I had an extremely spacious room even though I had a booked a 'basic' single occupancy. My room was super clean and had all amenities you could wish for; a kettle for coffee / tea, a free bottle of wine, a minibar (charged), bathrobe and slippers and plenty of goodies in a bathroom. There is a restaurant as well as a pub right off the main reception and also a night club with live music played on Saturday evenings. It's live music and can be heard in bedrooms. Service at the front reception as well as restaurants were friendly as efficient (as you would expect in Finland). I would warmly recommend Sokos Hotel Vantaa for a short stay in Helsinki area.

Noisy and little sleep.

The music from the hotel bar was very loud and could be heard in the room making it difficult to sleep; I was only able to sleep about 2 hours. Our room looked like it had been broken into with a crowbar and nothing was really done to fix the appearance; my instinct is that it was due to a medical emergency. The hotel was conveniently next to the train station but there was a lot of construction which made getting there with luggage a bit difficult. If I need to catch a flight in the future and need to be near the airport I will not stay here again.

Parantamisen varaa

Lasten leikkihuone kesän aikana oli mukava plussa. Allergeenejä ei aamupalalla oltu merkitty, josta iso miinus. Uusi `konsepti` on, ettei niitä merkitä, vaan pyydettäessä kerrotaan. Noh, ensimmäinen työntekijä ei niistä tiennyt mitään, eikä hakenut toista paikalle. Kysyimme sitten itse toiselta, joka oli avulias ja tiesi. Huoneen kylpyhuone kaipaisi remonttia. Muu huone oli remontoitu kyllä ja ilmastointi toimi hyvin.

Het zag er allemaal goed uit. Ontbijt is alle dagen hetzelfde. Schoonmaak gebeurt alleen op aanvraag maar is ons niet medegedeeld, pas achteraf. Huurauto parkeren kost 22 euro per dag. Goed hotel.

Kylpyhuoneessa kylpypyyhkeille ei ollut paikkaa mihin laittaa ne. Pyyhetanko liian matalalla, jos siihen laittaa pyyhkeet ei tasolla voi pitää mitään tavaroita. Pikkupyyhenaulakot liian alhaalla tai pyyhkeet liian pitkiä. Lattiakaivokaato suihkutilassa olematon, vesi valui ulos. Harmaanmusta huoneen lattia todella synkkä.

Lapsivapailla rentoutumassa

Saatiin pyytämällä kylpyamme ja parveke. Respan asiakaspalvelu samalta mieheltä illalla ja aamulla 10++ Aamupalalla puuttui kaikki gluterniton, mutta pyytämällä sai. Ja anteeksipyyntö Jen kera tuotiin vielä hyvittelyksi jälkkäri. Toki ei ollut omaa paahdinta, ei munavoita yms. Eli siihen voisi panostaa että ymmärrettäisiin gluteenittomuuden ehdottomuus. Muuten runsas ja ihana aamupala. Huone oli siisti. Sänky hyvä. Huone oli ihanan hiljainen.
