The perfect budget option in downtown Helsinki. The room was a good size, coffee and a refrigerator were very welcome. The beds were comfortable and it was nice having two luggage racks. Our only complaint was that the windows don’t open for fresh air and the room was stuffy and too warm overnight, in spite of it being quite cold outside. Rooms should have a fan or at least some way to control the temperature.

The beds and pillows were uncomfortable bathroom shower is so tiny that you can’t even wash your back but most of all the Wi-Fi was nonexistent. I mean it was absolutely horrible. Do not stay here if you have family at home or your own a business trip.

The staff was very cooperative and prompt in addressing my concerns over the emails, prior to my checking in. Indeed very helpful and relaxing tips on my first visit to Helsinki. Will definitely visit again and recommend to others.

Good hotel for a short stay. Doesn't have many amenities and is pretty bare bones, but the price location it makes up for it. Clean and quiet, note that you have to use your code to open many doors, operate elevators, and your hotel room door.

I don’t need much for one night and this hotel is just fine for it. However, there’s always something wrong with the TV. Either they don’t check the batteries in the remote control or there’s something wrong with the system. Annoying as heck.

My husband and I had a pleasant stay at this hotel! One of the highlights is the spacious room, which is perfect for travelers who need extra comfort. Additionally, the provision of a microwave is a great touch, especially for tourists who may want to prepare or reheat meals during their stay. For travelers like us with big and heavy luggage, the availability of elevators is definitely a bonus and much appreciated. However, we would like to suggest an improvement: adding a luggage storage space. This would be highly beneficial for guests who arrive earlier than the check-in time or need a place to store their belongings after checking out while exploring the area. It would make the experience even more convenient and enjoyable. Overall, we recommend this hotel and would definitely consider staying here again!

Nice place to stay inn the center of city. No reception available... May have difficult checkin...if something goes wrong no one to approach.. Interior of the hotel very simple and neat. Clean.. Good to have a direct approachable number for help. We cant contact the helpline only once we will be able to getin. Otherwise no one to ask help if anything goes wrong with checkin

Central and comfortable

The self-service hotel is located right in the center. İt was super comfortable and clean. I had a problem that my password didn't work but the call center helped it (it took a while but she was super helpful). Also note that there is no luggage room. They also let me do an early check-in to help me as the room was empty. But in case there is no empty room, your luggage might be a problem. Also note that you may have breakfast in a nearby cafe for 7 euros special to hotel guests

Terrible experience :(

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Omena. Both nights were terrible, especially because there was no airflow. It was confirmed by a staff member that there was an issue and a maintenance person was supposed to fix it. When I asked for a refund given that the issue was not resolved and not what I paid for (the room was so hot and stuffy), they said they can only offer a 10% refund and that is their policy. For what I paid ($353 Canadian for two nights), it’s around a $35 refund. So, if you have an issue, apparently 10% refund is your max. I would rather pay an extra $100-$150 a night to stay somewhere else.

The only reason I give 3 stars on staff is because there is no front desk--everything is handled through the app and text (room assignment and code to enter the building, use the elevator, and enter the room) which was no problem. I was initially worried that it would be stuffy in the room as you can't open the windows but that wasn't true. In fact the windows are extremely quiet. There was never any noise from outside. People refer to the room as ship cabin like and I agree. Split double bed, nice bathroom and an actual eating table and small refrigerator and microwave were nice. Very close to the train station and one block to the tram. Ver walkable location.

Schlichte Unterkunft, Betten okay, Bad eher eng und wirkt wie eine große Plastikbox. Nur jeweils ein Handtuch pro Person ist zu wenig. Leider keine Haken im Bad, um etwas aufzuhängen. Wir wurden von einem Rauchmelder geweckt:(.Unterkunft liegt sehr zentral.
