The hotel is very well located, and it’s easy to get around with the tram stopping just outside. The hotel is also very clean. The only downside for me was the dinner. I wish it were optional, but it’s included in the price of all rooms, and unfortunately, the quality wasn’t very good.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 days and it was overall very comfortable. The shower is excellent and our room was very spacious. It is close to downtown and the marketplace, as well as the ferry to Suomenlinna - Sea of Fortress. A lot of option for breakfast and the complimentary dinner was great. The only downside was the TV did not have the option for streaming.

Excellent stay! My stay for 3 nights on holiday were spent at this property and the experience exceeded my expectations. I arrived via airport and the hotel was conveniently accessible by train and tram. I departed Helsinki via ferry (Tallinn Megastar (to Tallinn) and my Bolt rideshare was 7 Euros. The property is historical and charming at the same time. I really appreciated the generous breakfast and dinner that was included. Grocery store is practically a hop, skip and jump away/ The staff were courteous and friendly. The location is convenient to all significant sights by foot or tram: it was a glorious 3 days with the happiest people on earth!

This was such a lovely hotel! The food was delicious, staff were friendly and helpful, the location was convenient with a tram stop just outside the property, and overall made the trip better. They even left my daughter a treat and note on her birthday!! We will definitely stay here again.

So much fun to stay in what used to be a prison (although it took me a day to figure that out!). The decor is fascinating. Otherwise, great location, easy transportation options, excellent dining nearby. Hotel is about 40min from airport so not the closest option.

Property was a former prison converted to a nice hotel. A tram ride away from City center area, about 5 tram stops. But, tram stops literally in front of hotel super convenient and trams come very often, every 5-10 minutes. Senior rates are available to travelers 67 and older. Easiest way to get around Helsinki is purchasing multi-day tickets. Best feature of Home Hotel properties (part of the Strawberry group) is breakfast and most locations dinner and afternoon coffee and light dessert is included. Definitely great for families trying to save money!

Our stay was incredible. Our room was beautiful, the staff were really friendly and the perks of free breakfast and dinner was fantastic. Not only that, but it has a great location and right by a tram stop with 10 minutes into town if not quicker. Great stay!
