It wasn't that the staff weren't nice, I just didn't see them much, and when I tried to get washing done on a day that their property information in the room said there was washing, I couldn't get it done which was a bit tricky for me as I was kind of counting on getting washing done there. But it was clean, enough space for just me in the end as my family didn't join me for the duration of my conference and it was very convenient for the conference centre.

Very pleasantly surprised. Given the very reasonable price, I came in with low expectations. But wow, though the rooms are small, they are quite nice. Recently remodeled it seems, and very clean. There’s a lot of attention to detail in all the small things in the design and upkeep of the rooms: someone went out of their way to cool all of the power cables for TV, phone, etc and cable tie them, there’s nice ledges for toiletries in the bathroom and inside the shower, and the bed is very soft. I’m not a fan of down pillows even though I know they are pretty fancy but if you are, that’s what they’ve got. And of course, the location is great. Check in worked out for me but was a little nerve wracking - I booked with Expedia and arrived after hours (the lobby closes at noon). They have a lockbox just outside the door for you to enter your booking number. I only had my Expedia itinerary number which was much too long. But I started entering it anyway and halfway through, my key dropped out. That was one big blast of relief!

Will this hotel work for you?

If you like mixups with electric door tags, so that it opens not your room's door, but some other room's, this hotel will work for you. If you like that people can walk in from the street, climb the stairs and stand in front of your room, without meeting any staff, this hotel will work for you.

Not worth the money

We will not book this hotel again. It was easy to find, but you need to walk all the way to the front door to see that it was Hotel Classic Inn Keycards were by pressing numbers in a box (bookingnumber), but we did not have a bookingnumber. It was actually the memberid from Hotels.com. When we got the card, we could not figure out, how to open the door. We knocked on the door and a rude man came out to help us (we later found out that he worked there, maybe even owns the hotel). Only got one keycard, even though we were three Cleaniless was not good - dusty in some places and even hair from someone else on one of the pillows. We had a very noisy aircondition, so you could not sleep if it was turned on during the night The beds were not comfortable at all There was no refrigerator - so no cold drinks for us. There was a minibar (wine, nuts, water and more) on the table, you needed to buy it. You could see that it had been standing there for quite some time, as some bottles were dusty There were no bags in the carbagecans, so this we bought as well. When checking out, I was quite unpleasantly surprised that the hotel was not payed (though all hotels were automatically payed through Hotels.com as I have been used to). Asked about this (same man as before), got a rude answer that he does not work for Hotels.com. If we had known when we came that it was not payed on forehand, we would had choosen another hotel immediately when we came into the room It was not worth the money

Kallt i badrummet pga otätt fönster.

Great Location!

Great price!! Great location, 5 minute walk from train station which is also great for trams and buses into town. Staff spoke English and were very friendly. Not fancy, but very clean and comfortable. I enjoyed my stay here and would recommend this hotel.

Uitwaaien in Heidelberg

Hotel dichtbij station.
