Disappointing

I wanted to like this place. The gentleman who checked us in was friendly and accommodating. Our room, however, was run down. Despite the large size of the motel we were put into a room between two rooms occupied by apparently long-term guests, smoking outside our room. A hibachi stood outside one of their rooms. The suspended tile ceiling in our room was drooping and ugly. An insect was entombed inside the framed picture on the wall. Wifi was problematic; we wound up using my cellphone as a mobile hotspot. But the beds were clean, there was a fridge & microwave, and we didn't have any problems with our neighbors. I think a breakfast is available at this hotel but we didn't take advantage. Essentially we paid a higher price than other nights on our trip for a run-down room we were happy to leave.

Roach infestation and bad smell. Roaches large and small in the refrigerator and the microwave. Checked in, stayed approximately five minutes and then left. Went to the front desk and requested a refund. He offered another room, however, I cannot stay in a roach infested property. Then he began to yell and accuse me of not liking him for not staying at the property. The property has since refused to give me a refund and so did Expedia. I am very disappointed with Expedia as well for offering this hotel when it's clearly infested with roaches.

Bed bugs was crawling around on the pillows. I have videos of them. They then moved me to another room. As soon as the light were turned on there was a million roaches. After being offered a third room i had to contact hotels for refund after they still charge menfor one night. I was only checked in for 2 hours.

This motel is on a side road by open fields next to the expressway. The parking lot is large and well lit at night. It felt like a reasonably safe place. The desk clerk was friendly and helpful. The room was clean but a little worse for wear in some ways. The bed was comfortable and the HVAC unit worked well. Breakfast was just coffee, cold cereal and milk.

Room was nice. Hotel was in process of being renovated. Our room was good for the money. Breakfast could be improved. Not much for eating places in the area. Hopefully all this will improve when renovations are completed.
