Wonderful Experience

After doing a long trip around the Big Island, I can say that this was our favorite stay. It is a lovely hotel. Check in was very easy, rooms were clean and stay was very quiet.

Very clean, quiet, and so cute! If you’re looking for a nice place to stay in northern Hawaii I would definitely recommend this hotel. My 18 year old son really liked the beds!

Minimalistic- not worth the price. The size of the room was fine, was clean, and the shower pressure and water temperature (hot) were great; But no cleaning of linens over 6 nights!! (Cleaned/changed towels once and we had to ask for more shampoo); no coffee in the room or lobby!!! A minimalist stay- for a more than minimal price. Close to Pololu trailhead, very far drive to beaches in the South and Volcano Park. Very poor acoustics- heard every conversation of other guests arriving after 10pm!

Cute little hotel

I don’t normally take the time to review a hotel but this place is a diamond in the ruff. I stayed in 12a&b and it was spacious and great for my family of 4 but could have easily accommodated few more kiddos. The hotel is older but very cute and fits with the old town vibe. If you are staying in the area this should be high on your list

Quaint, comfortable hotel worth a visit

Very quaint and cute hotel that is comfortable. Room was clean, had air conditioning, and nice old fashioned decor. They also offered some activities as this is built next to a community center of sorts, so they have hula classes or others available.

Clean and quiet

Check in and out was easy. Room was clean and quiet. Enjoyed our stay as a sleeping spot for our time on the north end of the island.

Enjoyed Kohala Village Inn

Location was close to little downtown, coffee shop and restaurants. Self Check in process was simple. Nicely decorated. Very clean. There is a community microwave and water dispenser but no coffee maker. Fridge in the room. We were very happy with this hotel.

I like the location for the things I like to do. The climate is wonderful. Its quiet and clean, the lack of standard services offered by similar establishments is offset by the availability of services such as resturants, shops, groceries, gas stations, etc, all within walking distance.
