Lovely cosy hotel with fantastic hosts.
Friendly staff, lovely breakfast. Rooms very nicely and overall a very pleasant stay.
Our welcome when we arrived was excellent. Liz was very helpful telling us sbout breakfast etc. Our room no 5 was quite spacious and had a nice view of the hillside of the dale. Breakfast was well cooked and tasty. Glenn was very efficient and knowledgeable about the area and made you feel relaxed with his banter. The en suite was a tad small but we managed ok. Will return and stay with them again at some point if we are visiting the area.

The room we had was. On the top floor which j found quite a challange as I have breathing trouble . But the room was lovely and clean, bathroom spotless.
Breakfast was excellent and ordering the night before I think is a good call .
Had a lovely stay at Herriots. Could not fault a thing. Lovely breakfast. The home made Granola was wonderful. Lots of little extras. Very friendly and informative. We will return.
Herriot house is a lovely old stone building in a prime place right in the middle of Hawes village. We were met by the host on arrival...he was informative and friendly .explained everything we needed to know..
The room was lovely .comfortable and clean..tea and coffee were plentyful and homemade cookies and water were also there..the bed was realy comfortable
The water pressure in the shower was great. Everything was lovely .we were left a small flask of cold milk in the morning outside the door and breakfast was perfect ..we had filled in a form as to what we wanted to eat and drink the evening before so it was brought to us as required..a lovely place to stay ..excellent
The location is great being right in the heart of Hawes. The host was very attentive to our needs and comfort. The hotel was neat and clean with a nice comfortable room. They had many optional things to support our stay like food to go, a place to hold our bags, snacks etc. The breakfast service was excellent and got the day off to a great start.
Possibly the friendliest welcome we've ever had. Glen is an amazing host, nothing was too much trouble.
Perfectly situated in the middle of Hawes, with gorgeous views from our room, (no 6) over the town and beyond.
Room was clean and comfortable, and the freshly made breakfast was perfect for us.
Would highly recommended staying here.
Ideal location in centre of town- 2 mins from all amenities and directly opposite the bakers! Breakfast excellent- fantastic poached eggs and wonderful home made marmalade..
Room immaculate- due to covid restrictions limited room servicing done (Bins emptied, towels changed) but nothing else needed. Copious amounts of hand sanitiser available throughout. A fantastic stay, many thanks
Was looking for a halfway point stop-off between S Wales and Inverness to start the NC500. We would have been happy with just a bed for the night but Herriot's was exceptional. We were in one of the top rooms which had picturesque views over the rooftops with the hills behind. The room was immaculate and quite large.
Breakfast was served in the cafe downstairs. Wide variety of options available and high quality ingredients.
Our hosts were very welcoming and on hand with advice about the NC500.
Ideally situated at the end of the main street with great pubs a short walk away.
An excellent choice, in the centre of Hawes. The breakfasts were superb and we felt very welcome and looked after. Very convenient and I would highly recommend staying there.
I had the most glorious week in Hawes. A lovely little village in a beautiful part of the country.
Herriot’s was welcoming and delightful. Location is perfect.
