“As musicians we stay in a lot of hotels and we were delighted with our stay at The Royal Oak. The staff are friendly and efficient, the room was super with a comfy bed, large modern bathroom and spotlessly clean all around. Meals were good value and very tasty and the whole place seemed to be very well run. We'd certainly visit again and wish the Royal Oak team every success for the future.”

“El desayuno es el típico inglés. Poco más a destacar. La carne, en la Brasserie, demasiado hecha, aunque las pidas poco hecha. El Fish & Chips sí se les da bien. Muy buen gym. La piscina interior no llegué a probarla, pero muy buena pinta. Habitaciones correctas. Si te duchas en hora punta salen 4 gotas… a las 6 sale con presión. Eso sí, solo por visitar la parte antigua, merece hospedarse allá.”

We're told at reception that the room was up 2 flight of stairs but it would be worth it, Walking into room 12 our breath was taken away, it was definitely worth the climb. Dinner that evening and breakfast next morning we're excellent. Will definitely be back. Jim and Lorna”
