“Luxury at first glance but filthy up close This rental was extremely deceiving. The property looks upscale & expensive in photos but the focus seems to be on aesthetics rather than cleanliness, maintenance or functionality. By the end of our stay we genuinely couldn’t wait to leave. The biggest issue was cleanliness. The bathtub had water sitting in the jets with black material floating in it & did not appear properly sanitized. The bathroom garbage smelled like an ashtray & had ashes in it....

“A very enjoyable stay at The Fourth Lock. It was a great location for exploring the area and has a really good restaurant on site. We were made very welcome and Jay could not have been more helpful. There are only 3 rooms, ours had access to a balcony with a view of the lake. Breakfast is provided as self-serve with a good selection of cereal bars, fruit, yoghurts, fruit juices and best of all, home made muffins :-) Coffee and tea making facilities are available in the shared cosy lounge, which...

“Wonderful place to stay- ample off street parking, quiet, with wonderful outdoor areas to drink your morning coffee or stargaze. Sam (host) was wonderful and accommodating and makes amazing English muffins. I would highly recommend the Burgandy to anyone coming to the area.”
