Ash Grove was the perfect place for our stay. It is out of the way and rather private. It is not in the middle of Paihia but close enough that we could easily drive in to town to eat and go on our tour of the Bay. Even better, it was just down the road from Haruru Falls, which was spectacular. We loved going on a walk along the river. We felt very much at home in our little cottage. Grange and Bronwyn are fantastic hosts and do a fantastic job maintaining their property. I highly recommend Ash Grove Boutique Motel.

Four our needs (visiting the region), the Ash Grove Boutique was excellent. A convenient base to visit local sites. We just had a couple of days and saw the treaty signing site and we did the local falls walk. Staff were super friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and pleasant. Sunsets were spectacular!

We absolutely loved this gem of a place! Our room was very spacious, having a king bed in the bedroom and then two twin beds for our kiddos in the main area. The room was perfectly clean with everything we needed and while there wasn’t AC, there were ample doors and windows to open to create a pleasant cross-breeze. The best part? No bugs! You could confidently leave everything open without mosquitoes, etc! Grange & Bronwynn are the most wonderful hosts/owners. So helpful and attentive! They truly made us feel welcome :) Oh and then there’s the awesome pool - clean, warm and quite big! We loved it!! We truly could have stayed forever here!

Lovely Stay!

It was a lovely place and we probably had the best room at the end of the small block (additional windows to the side). The pool area was very good, although we didn’t get the opportunity to try out the pool during our short stay. Although not a problem for us or anyone using their car, it is not really walking distance from Paihia. However on the plus side it is very close to a small convenience and fish and chip shop, as well as Haruru Falls.

Excellent, comfortable stay.

The room was comfortable, clean and spacious. Lovely and peaceful garden and we could take our meals just outside our room. Owners were very kind, helpful and thoughtful. Motel was just a few minutes away from the heart of Paihia, with supermarket and gas station located down the road, so it was very convenient. Would highly recommend this place!
