Lovely old building in quiet location. Unusually, was able to book a single room which helps keep costs down when travelling solo. Although compact, it had everything needed for a stopover and was attractively decorated and spotlessly clean.

More 'Guest House' than Hotel

Enjoyed our stay... Overall great service, cleanliness and comfort... nothing too much trouble for the Staff or to trouble us... BUT... fair to say it is more a Guest House than Hotel... Great Breakfast but lacked Dining option, although there was a Bar with limited opening times... we did not partake so cannot comment.

Weekend break

Really enjoyed our stay. The location is great just a short walk into town. The hotel is set in a beautiful building with well-kept gardens outside. The room was nice with a lovely comfy bed. Breakfast was tasty. We would definitely stay again.

Ideal place to stay if visiting for a conference. Rooms are clean, quiet, and cozy. Nice ensuite too with a bath. I'd also reccomend Ascot house for longer weekends away, I wish I'd been able to stay longer than 1 night.

Beautiful and clean, family run hotel. Very helpful and polite staff. The most comfy beds and the room was serviced on the 2nd day of our 2 night stay, which we found fantastic. The location is perfect for walking into Harrogate, just 10 mins. The whole area is delightful.

Ascot Hotel - 2 day stay

I would recommend , the hotel offered a clean and comfortable room. The television work and tea coffee facility was provided. It also had car parking facility if required. The breakfast was good ... I engoyed the vegetarian bearkfast and the service was excellent.

Had really high hopes for this property as the Crowne was right around the corner but I wanted something locally owned and with more character. Everything was just as I imagined except for the staff. We asked for some printing to be done and granted it was quite more than they are probably used to, but it was done without first informing us of the price and then all of a sudden we were slapped with a bill for 35pounds! Again, wouldn't have minded IF they had asked us first but they didn't bother. Then, even after we agreed to pay the charges, when we needed more printing they simply said no. Maybe they are not used to accommodating business customers? All in all was beautiful but wouldn't stay here again just due to the lack of business services available.

We were only there for one night and couldn’t fault the accommodation . My only complaint was the price of breakfast. I agree you could have the continental and the full English but if you only wanted continental you would pay same price of £15. So we opted for no breakfast.
