“Charming Inn with all modern amenities and a good selection of breakfast, lunch and evening meals served in the restaurant, conservatory or chill nook. Comfy sofas and views across the beautifully maintained gardens. I had a very good sleep in the comfortable bed. Rooms are spacious (23). I requested a ground floor, walk in shower room and was allocated exactly what I’d hoped for. The WiFi worked well, which is surprising, because my friends in other nearby hotels experienced issues with...

“Room was clean and tidy, good amenities especially with the small fridge in the room. Staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast had a good choice and served very quickly. Ample parking at the rear of the building. Good choice of evening meal, only sorry we weren't there on Sunday for the carvery. Great location in a beautiful small village. Would recommend and stay again.”

“Lovely setting with some great architecture. Friendly family run hotel but somewhat tired in places. Disappointed by the most bizarre room which had a full size stainless steel kitchen segregating a reasonably nice bedroom from the large but rather odd bathroom (which also housed the wardrobe). Open plan so couldn’t make it completely dark… luckily had my eye...

“Lovely room, comfortable beds. Nice couple who run/own the place. Smashing breakfast. Highly recommend.”

Everything is done via text messages and code locks. The first room we were given hadn’t been cleaned at all after the previous guests had left. I let the person at the other end of the text messages know, and we were “upgraded” to another room (slightly larger and had a bathtub instead of a shower). This ...

“Nice big room with a very comfortable bed. Lovely and quiet, so had a great nights sleep. Handy for the nearby hospital. Very reasonably priced, would definitely recommend for a work trip.”

“The Arms is a beautiful hotel, well maintained, in great shape, lovely staff and food and a nice room. The ONLY thing I would point out is that the tv channel options were limited and as my wife and I were fresh to the timezone it would have been nice to have some more channel choices when we couldn’t sleep.”
