The place is wonderful, the staff is very friendly, and make you feel like at home. The dinner was fantastic. The surrounded area is beautiful and very well located to Harbor Springs, Tunnel of Trees, and other nice attractions. We really enjoyed our visit, and looking forwrat to our next visit. Nice clean property in a great location. Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms kinda small, small bathrooms (and we’re not really large people), beds not really queen sized, and strange that there’s no tv in the room.

There was no food at this location during our stay - would have been nice to know that ahead of time. Had to go 10 minutes into town for every meal, including breakfast. Also, very low pressure water made showers and toilet flushing interesting. Nice mid-century vibe.

Excellent place to stay!!!

This was an awesome place to stay. off the beaten path. Clean and roomy. Felt very comfortable. The bar area was cheery and there was seating to relax and chat. They even had a cafe for a yummy breakfast.

We enjoyed staying here as a one-night deal as part of our Michigan roadtrip! Absolutely beautiful property and very nice room. I honestly loved not having a TV. They had so many other things to do with either your people or socialize with others staying there. I wish we stayed longer to utilize their amenities more.

I like the closeness to Harbor Springs. The Bar area was cozy and the bartenders were friendly. I enjoy their conversations. The amenities were good. I’d like to have a tv in my room. I wish that breakfast options were available.

Very friendly staff

It was very clean and looked freshly painted. Everything was a nice design. Bed was very comfortable. We'll stay again at our next opportunity. Staff was very friendly and decor was top nonch. Espresso bar with fresh pastry options is a nice touch.

Staff was cheerful accessible fun. The ambiance was great, comfortable too. The Birch room bed and linens were great however could use a ceiling fan or the AC units need to be able to point the vent downwards toward the bed. Loved the outdoor patio. Can’t wait to venture back next year.

Nice hotel

The hotel was very nice. We pretty much had it to our self since it’s off season. Pool won’t be ready until summer. Cafe not available after certain hour or on Monday. I wish there was a continental breakfast included in your stay for the price. The bed was very comfortable. Awesome view of the lake.

OTIS is incredible! From check-in to check-out, our stay was top notch. The location of OTIS is perfect! The rooms are beautiful, the beds/bedding, most comfortable. The redo of this whole space is top notch! My favorite was the bar area. I named it the gathering place because you truly do walk in and feel invited, warm and welcome. Also, excellent coffee! Thank you OTIS for the best experience we have ever had! We will return!

The OTIS is an awesome addition to the Harbor Springs area! Not only is it beautiful and well-decorated, but it’s comfortable, the staff are so kind and attentive, and the little details are thoughtful. The rooms are cute, the beds are comfy and we couldn’t have been happier with our stay! We were a little caught off-guard with our room not having a TV or mini fridge, but we made the best of it. And the bar is literally world-class! Just overall a 10/10 experience.

Noisy as it gets

There are pros and cons to this hotel. Pros are the staff are friendly and helpful and the grounds are beautiful. The cons however are the rooms. We did not sleep all night as we could hear both sets of neighbors. All night we heard people yelling, slamming doors, or talking. There is no one at the front desk after 8pm to address these issues even though there is a quiet hour time. Additionally, our air conditioner sounded similar to a jet engine and the clock next to the bed makes noise every time a minute flips on it. The entire experience was incredibly disappointing and not at all restful.

It is incredible what can be done with a 1950s motel. This place was a retro-modern sanctuary. I actually can't say enough nice things! 100% will stay there again!
