Pros - Beautiful hotel, right on the border of Sweden and Finland. The hotel itself is like a museum, close to the northern most ikea in the world and a shopping mall, the restaurant in the hotel is very delicious as well. Cons - Breakfast is not too good, beds are not comfortable

Such an amazing feel to be back in history!! The decoration and vibe there was great to me being a visitor of a small town. And the staff are amazing too and dedicated to their job. Every single receptionist was suave and eager to help out. I checked in late and the guy was still around to help me go in, and they were also accommodating to me being around and use the facility even after checking out. The place is clean, spacious and nice sauna. It was snowy and did not have a chance to really explore town but it looked beautiful nonetheless. Open buffet for breakfast but really good. I can’t say anything bad about the place.

All public areas are amazingly beatiful and attractive. Lot of nice details and decorations. Rooms on the other hand are not so special and one could call them modest. Excellent breakfast.

Beautiful hotel with lots of history. Our room was really small for two people. Personnel was very friendly. Breakfast was delicious with lots of options. Bathroom had a sewer smell every now and then.

Restaurant closed. No information about this online. No smart tv as last time we were here. No information about this either. In a small, quite town like Haparanda, you need this to get through the evening. Nothing else to do. Otherwise, lovely staff, beautiful building!

Very Old World style and very Swedish. Liked it very much, keep it that way. Breakfast had 'everything' except something was missing all the time. On 1st round bacon was not there, when i went to get more coffee, there was none. Capacity problem in the kitchen ?

Trevlig personal i receptionen och fint hotell med fin inredning. Men rummen var inget märkvärdigt, kom en avloppsstank i rummet, antagligen inte spolat vatten på länge så vi fick spola ett tag innan de avtog. Kallt laminatgolv i rummet och kallt klinker i badrummet. Stor säng men två resårkärnor med stor bäddmadrass på så de blev en grop i mitten. Sängarna aldeless för mjuka. Dålig service på frukosten, mycket slut och tog lång tid för dom att fylla på, mycket folk men ingen framförhållning med påfyllning av saker. Ingen som gick och plockade undan disk från borden.
