The staff were really lovely but this hotel was not it. The sound from the hallway/room next door was crazy. It’s maybe the least sound proof place we have ever stayed.
The shower/bathroom had a lot of mould which I haven’t discovered in other hotels this trip.
It has good air conditioning though and we only stayed here one night.
Conveniently near tourist attractions
The location is right in the middle of old quarter with access to lots of the local cuisines. It’s walkable to beer street and Ha Noi night market. The staff at this hotel is knowledgeable and friendly and daily breakfast was great.
We had a great time staying at the Matilda hotel. We had no issues and were very happy with everything. I would recommend this hotel. It is very central to everything. Well done Matilda. Olive Culleton.
The service at this hotel was incredible! They went out of their way to take care of us! Booked our excursions, took care of our transportation to Hanoi, gave us amazing recommendations for restaurants and even took care of our laundry. We highly recommend this hotel.
I really enjoyed my stay at the Matilda. Located in great area of the old quarter. Lots of shopping, restaurants and good nightlife options, all within a short walking distance. The staff is very friendly and helpful and everyone speaks very good English. Would certainly come back without hesitation!
Our room was so flash, the location was amazing, and they even packed us breakfast to go because we had quite an early flight. We really enjoyed our stay!

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The room was good. The bathroom door is glass and I wish it is not because I had to leave the bathroom light on at night for safety reasons. I also wonder why 3-4 steps necessary to lower the floor a bit, making it hard to move luggages
