We stayed at the Grand Hotel Du Lac for five days during our vacation in Hanoi and loved everything about it. The staff was so helpful and gave us great advice on restaurants/tourist spots to visit. The room was very comfy and the AC felt amazing after walking around the Hanoi summer all day. Also really enjoyed the rooftop bar and pool and the extensive breakfast options!

This is a fantastic choice to stay in a lovely Boutique Hotel in the Center of the Old City. Your day will start with an unbelievable breakfast overlooking St. Josef Kathedrale and the Center of Hanoi. The staff is incredible kind and helpful. There is a full Spa directly in the Hotel. On weekends Huan Kiem is a wonderful pedestrian only the area around the lake. A Central Park of Hanoi truly. Highly recommend this wonderful centrally located Hotel for your stay. You will not regret

Loved everything about this hotel, from the moment I walked in its doors. The reception staff was polite, professional, and fast. The room was immaculate. Jack, the General Manager, obviously trains his staff to a high level of service, and if you meet him when you're there, you'll find him charming and extremely helpful, like old-school service we used to get at the best five-star hotels in Europe (before they were mostly bought out by conglomerates or chains). His kind attention made me feel that the hotel is now a home away from home for me, and I am looking forward to getting back there as soon as I can

From the minute they spotted us making our way to the hotel, the staff of the Grand Hotel du Lac did everything they could to give us a fabulous experience. They were warm, professional and efficient and served with their heart. The hotel is comfortable and well situated near the lake and old town. The breakfast is varied and delicious and the service was excellent. If you visit the rooftop bar, you must try the gin basil smash. It is amazing!
