We had a wonderful stay at The Ships Inn in Hampton Beach! The entire staff was amazing, friendly, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Everyone went out of their way to make sure we had a great experience, and their hospitality truly stood out. The inn was a great place to stay while enjoying everything Hampton Beach has to offer, and the positive atmosphere made our trip even better. Room was dingy, smelly, and showed multiple signs of violent intrusion during its recent past. The balcony, which was advertised with an ocean view, only looked out on a back alley. We went to breakfast and came back an hour before checkout to find our key cards no longer worked to enter our room. I walked to the office to find out what’s up only to find it locked up tight. I called the number on the door and was told the office should be staffed all hours…the guy in the phone said someone would meet me at the room. That didn’t happen with any expediency so I found a maid and she let me into my room to get my luggage. I would not stay at this establishment again if there is another viable option like my car (it’s definitely more comfortable than the mattress in their room which was hard and springy and very saggy in the middle).

Don't listen to these other reviews. This place is just fine. The rooms we had were spacious, clean enough, and had everything we needed and more. I admit that reading some of these horrendous reviews almost had me switching hotels. But once again, internet reviews turned out to be mostly written by folks who don't know how to appreciate things. The only thing I disliked was that it could have been about $100 cheaper. That's it. Enjoy your stay, it's a fun little spot.

The rooms could be updated but it was clean. The roof was excellent to watch the fireworks. Very closed to the beach strip. But… the pool was disgustingly gross. Dingy water, mold around the pool. How if chlorine is supposed to clean all that! They didn’t want to refund the second day the purpose of my trip was to swim in the pool but didn’t get to. I don’t swim in the ocean but made the best of it outside the hotel.

Likes.. nice pool,upper deck was a lovely place to sit. Beautiful sitting area outside with flowers and chairs..A porch with table and chairs. Spacious room with microwave toaster table and chairs. Dislike.... Broken depri in so many places out. Such a eye soar. Behind buildings in parking lots. I traveled with children and broken sharp object in common areas are a huge risk. Our room didnt have a smoke detector. Wires were exposed. Towels for two when you book with 4 people is a huge inconvenience. We asked for more and was told they would bring. The towels never came The scariest part was the tub. It was cracked and pieces were sharp. It was absolutely leaking. Tub was moving while.walking on it. It didnt hold water. I was sad to kmow that that room was given knowing we booked with children.
