The hotel is in a great location, and continues to have a good vibe and it also attracts nice crowd in the evenings, partially thanks to also being home to a fantastic Italian restaurant. However, this is my second stay at the hotel over the last 4 months and I've noticed that the rooms haven't been upgraded for a good number of years - simple things like damaged corners, chipped paint, loose fixtures etc. For this type of hotel category, better on-going maintenance could be expected.
There also appears to be no or lack of acknowledging correspondence via the booking website that I used.
I ended up having to contact the hotel directly (24 hours prior to my arrival) about an early check in query. Whilst this issue was positively resolved, I was surprised to hear that previous messages via the app had been received but somehow ignored. Again, this was also the second time I've encountered this problem.
