Amazing hotel.

Amazing hotel for the price. Bed was comfortable. Bath was not properly guarded so water spilled into other areas. Location is not too far from the train station.

The hotel is great but the surrounding area is bad. Full of junkies, homeless people and people literally fighting in the streets. The hotel is situated very centrally but the city should do more to clean up the neighborhood on the east side of the central station.

Wonderful staff, spacious rooms, very clean!

Genuinely friendly and helpful staff who ensure you have a very pleasant stay. Hi five to Lars for being so hospitable. The cleanliness was top notch. Conveniently located. Neighborhood loud and sketchy, but did not feel dangerous. The hotel is a nice refuge among the chaos outside. Would definitely return!

Nice hotel, bad location.

The area around the Hotel is terrible and not safe for tourists, watch out. The breakfast was turkish and fresh but not in our taste but i think its good if you are in to that kind of food. The room was nice and clean, Easy parking in garage under the hotel.

The room was spacious, & hotel is close to the central station. I found the staff a little rude, as I wasnt informed that the hotel has a strict check out at 11am morning. Unfortunately one of my meetings ran till 11 & I was asked to leave the room asap

Amazing. Spotless cleaning, great and spacious room. The location is close to both the subway and the main train station. People outside are a bit sketchy, so not perfect for families but was excellent for us. A decently sized fridge and a spotless bathroom. The service was amazing and personnel ever so helpful - give them a raise! Stayed here for 6 nights and this was a brilliant hub for our adventures. Discount food store about 100m from the hotel, as well as fast food restaurants.

On a busy (somewhat sketch) Street, but worth it

The Stay! Boardinghouse Hotel was not too bad for the price and location being near the main train station. The worst part of it was arriving in the middle of the night and having to walk through a bit of sketchy part of town, but no one bothered us as we powerwalked with our backpacks - there may or may not have been a group of people freebasing in front of one of the closed stores. There was a lot of noise outside our window at night, but with ear plugs and a sound machine app, it drowned out most of the yelling and honking. The bed was a little hard, but the convenience of being a 5-7 minute walk from the main train station was worth it. Also, the breakfast buffet was extensive, although a few of the foods offered were a bit strange for breakfast. Lots of dips of various sorts. Plenty of things to choose from, so it wasn’t a problem finding things to eat.

While the property itself is very nice and the rooms are very clean an d close to the central railway station, the immediate neighborhood had some challenges with homeless and drug related activity that did not really make you feel as secure as in other neighborhoods. While the neighborhood was quite diverse and had lots of middle eastern stores and restaurants, there were homeless people setting up shop selling whatever they could recover from the trash right on the sidewalk across from the hotel. The front desk staff was very helpful and provided directions and advice for seeing the sites across town

This place was a little harder to find and parking wasn't as easy until you checked in and learned where the garage was. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. Once we learned where the garage was and parked our car, it connects to the hotel and easy to get back to your room. The hotel is conveniently located near dining and shopping. Hamburg is a big biking town, so you had to keep your eyes out for cyclists wherever you went.
